Title: Farewell
The Nexus - February 4, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
This is a farewell to our beloved characters as they end their individual journeys here. With the passing of each (be it in death or another way), I shall make a post drawing your attention to the character's end, giving those that wish it to say their peace about the character and/or player.

The first character to be officially written off is Eric Denai. His entire existence basically took place in the demonic marketplace and the end to his journey is located in his personal lair.

Although I was in San Francisco for a while, I kept to myself, attempting to track down who I now know as Vandross. My time spent in this wonderful city was memorable. I spent most of my life here, having moved many, many times, so this is a place I will always know as home.
I leave you all with the gifts of my treasures, accumulated over my lifetime. They really don't mean much to me, other than to remind me of my past. After I avenge my family, I wish to move on and no longer live in the past. I truly hope that those of you who receive those gifts truly need them and put them to good use.
Until we meet again, Eric Denai |

Although Eric was my second character here on ACL and I had high hopes for him, I didn't have much time to flesh him out. The first go-round didn't go so well for him. He did something stupid which got him killed. But he was given a second chance when we restarted and back-tracked to 2028, where he was still alive.
He started out in the Demonic Marketplace, and ended up staying there. This is not really how I had planned on him being played, but the interactions with Bael kind of set things back for him. I honestly don't think I played him very well, partly because I'm shyte at playing both Evil and male characters. Although I'm gradually learning Evil, the other I will never fully grasp.
Although I'm kind of sad that I won't be able to play Eric out actually avenging his family, I'm glad to be able to complete at least one character without death, and sort of the way I wanted to see him go. I think from the experiences with Eric, I will stick with female characters from now on.

And another one bites the dust. Evan Giovanni pissed off the wrong demon and was killed for his troubles. His journey came to its conclusion in The Source's Palace.
Jay - May 6, 2008 04:24 PM (GMT)
Embra Delany
Tyson Valmont
You shall be missed.
Both died within the Dream Plane - Tyson in the Forest of Illusion and Embra in Muir Woods.

For those of you who are unaware, a couple more characters have ended their journey here on ACL. Both London Adler and Sebastian Decorde are no longer with us.
Sebastian was never given much chance to be developed and his life was cut short by Pain at Fisherman's Wharf.
London was also with us a short time, but had been involved in the plot to kill the Magic School students via nightmare. Until she was overpowered by Dani and is now trapped in her own dreamscape.
Feel free to discuss your feelings about these characters, their impact and their ending.

Though no one seems to be paying any attention at all, the stories of Vanessa Darkholme and Adrienne Holt have come to an end. Vanessa's final post is located in the Forest of Misery and Adrienne's is in the Marketplace.
Daria Fallen - June 15, 2008 01:47 AM (GMT)
-raises hand- I'm paying attention!
AWesome final pose, Jon! Very fitting for someone like Vanessa.

We have a lot this round...
Jenna Bell met her end after a night of partying when the earthquake dislodged a piece of the pier that killed her and Rhys.
Daria Fallen, Jade Spring and Clark McGowan have also ended their journey here. After saving the cursed pirate crew, they have decided to team up and set out as Champions of Light.
Jasmine Nightwish was reverted to the side of right by Tristan. They, along with Aidan Scott, were in Buckland's when the earthquake struck, interrupting their search for the secret lab. The ending was left open.
The earthquake also interrupted the cat fight between Moira Santos and Venus D'Kenn. This ending was also left open.
Drew McDuff was spirited away by the Seer after an attempt to impregnate herself with Wyatt's child. She may make an appearance in the finale game day - but I am posting this now in case she does not.
Finally, Dmitri Dzugasvilli finished his journey as well right as he prepared to battle Orin along with his fellow students and Professor Talbot. However, there will be one more post done in that area before the shift to the new game day so be on the lookout for that.
Clark McGowan - July 4, 2008 02:32 PM (GMT)
So overall I really liked how Clark's tory with Acl ended. Clark ended up proving his worth and ability to both his parents and himself. He found place in the world as a champion of light, which has always been his dream. I regret that Clark came into ACL so late in the game and never had a large chance to grow, though he did do a lot in his time here.
I was slow in the early stages of writing here as far as skill and etiquette and I thank everyon here for putting up with that.
In my mind Clark follows Daria and Jade to fight the demonic force Daria saw in her vision. I think that Clark and Daria would quickly set aside the petty differences they found on the boat, I think those were a product of stress on both characters. I think the three of them could become a very good team and also a strong bond of three way friendship. Ibn my mind Jade, Daria, and Clark become one of the top magical teams in San Francisco, but that's just my opinion ;)

After teaching for so many years and running into little magical destinations, I really thought my journey as a witch had ended. I was certain that my only purpose in life was now to pass along what Ihad learned to my daughter, Camille. I had fully accepted this. Until I met Jade Spring.
This woman, with such a rich, and to some, terrifying history, brought magic back into my life. It was so wonderful to be able to share my magic with another person other than my family. As wonderful as it is to be able to share with my family, there's always that need to really find fullfillment in others. And Jade thrust me right back into the game, for which I'm eternally grateful. I hadn't realized how much I missed the action, the wonder and excitement of saving an innocnet. Or several, in our case. Our experience has cemented our friendship and we've gained a companion in Clark McGowan, as well. He has a lot to learn, and I am a more than willing instructor. And it will be interesting to see what this young man has to teach us.
Together, our little threesome will do wonders in the magical community. We will be Champions of Light, setting an example for all those other naicant witches and gyspsies who will carry on our legacies. |

I think I will miss Daria the most out of all my character on ACL. She was introduced for the Apocolyptic plot and i had defined her more than the other two for this plot. I got to see her at her worst and at her best. She was the most developed and most fun to play. Her personality and habits from the two plots were so interesting to see where they would go. When Jay switched the plot over, I had myself a challenge which I rose to. How would she have been before the attack? What little things that i mentioned before could i expand upon in this new world?
I am sad to see her go, but am also happy to see how she has 'ended.' Her journey has basically just begun, again. It's almost as if I'm watching three coybows walk into the sunset to fight another day. |
