Title: The Cliffs
Description: By the Bay

Mother Nature - March 15, 2007 07:10 PM (GMT)
[High cliffs that sit high above the bay. They are near the city side of the bridge.]

Bianca - May 13, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Bianca shimmers to the top of the cliffs that overlook the bay after leaving her fiance and his mistress dead back in her apartment. At least, that is what she believes in her possessed state. The soul of Abigail is all too familiar with the scene. Including the Romeo + Juliet-esque ending that leaves both lovers six feet under.

Tears roll down the face of the usually hard Phoenix Witch as she stands atop the cliffs and looks out at the water. From way up here, her life seems dismal with the only bright light being the one at the end of a long tunnel that's getting shorter every minute.

Thought and flashes of the scene that she left behind in her apartment are all that she thinks about. There was no coming back from that. Even if she lived, her life would be over.

Drawing a hand up, she wipes the tears from her cheek and sniffles, preparing herself for what was to come. Finally building up the courage to go through with her decision, Bianca steps forward and throws herself from the cliff, hurtling towards the waters below.

Chris Halliwell - May 21, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
A bright trail of blue orbs cluster around the falling Phoenix witch. They smother her, consuming the possessed Wiccan till she herself is nothing more than a series of blue and white orbs herself. The lights swirl upwards at lightening speeds, coming to a halt back at the top of the cliff, about six feet away from the cliff’s edge. (This has to end.) Chris’ thoughts ring loud and clear in the brunette’s mind as the masses of lights form into the two witches.

“Abigail. Stop.” His hands push around the dark haired woman, his hazel orbs looking into his loves’. His face does not show anger, nor fear. Only a tint of soft compassion lingers upon it. He wants this to end; he wants to make everything right. Maybe they have a chance this time; maybe they can talk it though. He was wrong, he knows that, and he’s felt the edge of steel as a punishment. But this is not the way to sort things. He doesn’t want to see his lover die. Not now, not again.

“We can sort this out. We can.” Chris’ eyes stare deeper into Bianca’s. They swirl with sincerity – she has to know he’s telling the truth; she just has to. “We’re stronger than this. If anyone can do it, we can.” Both Chris and the soul which possesses him mean it. It comes from the bottom of his heart. “We just have to try…”

Bianca - May 22, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
One moment, Bianca's body is plunging towards the waters of the Pacific Ocean, having thrown herself off the cliffs in a bout of depression. Then, she suddenly finds herself spiraling upwards instead, defying the laws of gravity.

Upon rematerializing, Bianca fights against Chris' grasp, eventually removing herself from his hold. She backs away, looking at him wearily. Though she hears what he says, the words don't necessarily register. There are more important things going through her mind right now like that fact that... "You're dead."

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
"No. I'm not." Chris looks at Bianca with pain in his eyes. To know that he had hurt her so deeply... it almost makes him wish that he were dead. However, if that were the solution then history would not be repeating itself. Something has to give. Or someone.

"I'm right here." Hesitating, Chris has a false start but eventually pushes himself onward and toward Bianca, though he is unsure of how to proceed or how she will react. So he decides to stick with what he does know. He takes Bianca's hands in his own, gripping them tightly. "And I'm not going anywhere."

Bianca - June 7, 2008 02:49 AM (GMT)
"Johnathan..." Tears well up along the bottom ridge of Bianca's eyes as the possessed Phoenix speaks. There was still so much pain and the wounds so fresh. Yet she does not pull away from him this time. Even through such a betrayal, it is difficult for her to simply turn off her feelings. Emotions don't work that way; love doesn't work that way.

"I don't know if I can forgive you, let alone trust you again." She bites her lips as the first tears fall. It is too late to stop them completely, but manages a sprinkle as opposed to a downpour. Bianca shakes her head, confused and upset. She though that he had loved her. She had thought everything was perfect. Apparently it wasn't. "What did I do to make you not love me anymore?"

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 02:54 AM (GMT)
"No..." Chris practically whines at his beloved, not wanting her to blame herself for his mistake. He places his hands on her arms and brings their faces closer together as if this would help drive his point home. "Abby, this has nothing to do with you. You did nothing wrong, you hear? Nothing."

Unable to resist, Chris pulls Bianca into his arms, hugging her relentlessly. He stares off into the distance, cradling her against his chest. Internally, he chastises himself for doing this, for being the cause of her pain. "I love you." Chris pulls away so that he can face Bianca again. Reaching out with his hand, he brushes loose strands from her face before caressing her cheek. "I love you. And I'm not asking you to forgive me. How can I expect you to without reason? I'm just asking for a chance. A chance to be trusted again."

Bianca - June 7, 2008 03:08 AM (GMT)
"I don't know..."

Bianca thinks back to the scene that she had walked in upon. Except it is not Chris and Soleil that she sees but Johnathan and his mistress. Then she thinks to how she had killed her husband in a fit of rage - and the emptiness that ensued.

Overcome by emotion, Bianca throws her arms around Chris, drawing him close and releases the tears that she has held back thus far. Sobbing into his shoulder, she realizes that she will forgive him eventually for she loves him too much not to. She lost him once already and it killed her. To do so again would be unbearable.

"I love you too."

The Nexus - June 7, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
[The two spirits, having finally found some peace with one another, leave the bodies of their hosts. Still entwined with one another, they rise up a few feet before vanishing, as they move on. Chris and Bianca are now fully in control of their bodies - and have complete recollection of the night's events.]

Ring - June 7, 2008 03:11 AM (GMT)
[The two rings glow briefly before fading back to normal. Having now been freed of the spirits that were tethered to them, the rings can now be removed at the discretion of their wearers.]

Bianca - June 7, 2008 02:12 PM (GMT)
Bianca finds herself within the arms of her fiancé but can't shake the feeling that he is a stranger to her given what they've just been through. The essence of Abigail Williams has moved on, reverting control to the Phoenix Witch who experienced everything in sync with the tortured spirit.

Breaking away from the embrace first, Bianca steps back, wiping at her eyes to remove the lingering tears that were not her own. Feeling especially vulnerable, she wraps her arms tightly around herself and keeps her eyes downcast.

She goes to speak, even getting as far as opening her mouth to do so, but stalls, shaking her head. Her thoughts run rampant, still reeling from the effects of sharing her body with such an emotional spirit that has passed on some of those fears to her.

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
Bianca pulls away and Chris finds himself yearning for her to return to his arms. It doesn't happen though and all he is able to do is stand by and watch Bianca cope with what just happened. It is not the experience has left Chris unmarred, but the Halliwell is, how sees it, capable of separating out Johnathan's emotions and actions out from his own.

"Wow. That was intense." It's a half ass attempt at breaking the silence - though the experience was definitely 'out of this world'. It's just that Chris can think of nothing else to say. The situation had gone from weird to awkward. Once again he finds himself wishing Bianca had just stayed wrapped up in his arms.

"B... you know that I would never do that to you right?" Chris adjusts his head as if he is trying to look through Bianca's hardened guise. He's a little worried about what effect this will have on them and it shows in his voice. "I love you."

Bianca - June 7, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
"They loved each other too." Bianca peeks her head up so that she can better see Chris' face. There is fear in her eyes. Fear that they may not be so different from Abigail and Johnathan. Why else were they ones that the spirits bonded to?

Bianca pulls the ring off her finger. The ring that once belonged to Abigail Williams. The one thing, besides her angst, that had tied her to this place. She rolls it between her fingers, examining it. It held no answers for her though. It is just a ring.

"This happened to us for a reason, Chris." Bianca ceases her fooling around with the ring in favor for speaking directly to Chris. The fear has been placed by resolve. She loves Chris and refuses to lose him without a fight. "Something has gotta change."

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 04:44 PM (GMT)
Unable to do anything else, Chris watches Bianca intently, hanging on her every word. The fear does not go unnoticed, but he feels as though there is hope there as well. Or maybe it's wishful thinking. (Doesn't matter. I'm not letting her go.)

Chris follows suit, also removing the ring that did not belong to him. He glances down at it and can't help but to think about all it signified. Not just the eternal bond of marriage, but also the experience of Johnathan and Abigail.

"You know what? You're absolutely right." Chris nods his head, agreeing with Bianca even as his gaze goes outward as he thinks. He turns away from his betrothed and steps towards the cliff, drawing his arm back and hurls the formerly cursed ring into the waters below. Satisfied, he spins on his heel to face Bianca once again. "Lets get married. Right now. Right... well, not right here."

Bianca - June 7, 2008 05:20 PM (GMT)
Unaware that Chris is actually serious, Bianca starts laughing as she finds the suggestion to be completely off the wall. However, the laughter quickly dies off when her significant other doesn't join in. Sobering up rather quickly, she stares at him incredulously, realization dawning upon her. "You're serious."

"Chris... no." Bianca shakes her head, though to be honest, it's more so for her own benefit than Chris'. She would never tell him that, of course. She crosses her arms as though that would strengthen her position. The ring is still in her grasp, tucked beneath her arm now. "Your family would kill us."

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
"First off, it's our family." Chris steps forward, taking Bianca's hands into his own. He smiles reassuringly. Now that he has this idea in his head, he ain't about to let it go. "You're already as much of a part of it as I am." He leans in and plants a gentle kiss on Bianca's cheek, only pulling back slightly afterwards. "And they would get over it."

Chris leans back completely now, exposing Bianca to the full magnitude of charismatic smile. How could she resist? He pulls her forward, wrapping his arms around her waist, looking down at her, the smile still there. "C'mon... eloping is romantic, and it's just what we need right now..."

Bianca - June 7, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
Bianca laughs at Chris' playful maneuvering, though she has to admit that his enthusiasm - not to mention smile - is infectious. During a brief pause, she looks up at him, weighing the options out. Then, before she even knows it really, she is nodding her head, agreeing with this crazy idea of his.

"Alright. Lets do it." She lets out another burst of laughter, raising a hand to her mouth in disbelief by her own words. She drops her hand slowly, using the other hand to keep her steady by holding Chris' shoulder. "I can't believe we're doing this."

Chris Halliwell - June 7, 2008 09:57 PM (GMT)
"Well believe it baby." Chris' tone takes on a playful accent taken right out of a film from the 1930s. He pulls her into an intimate hug, and stares out at the fog-covered bay, though he thinks nothing of the strangeness of it. Perhaps he would have had the pirate ship been in sight...

"We're getting married... as soon as we find a justice of the peace..." Chris pulls back as he mulls this over. There is no one that is likely to be awake at this hour. It's not even morning really. (At least it isn't here...) Having an epiphany, Chris looks down at Bianca and smiles, but says not a word as they orb off to elope.
