Title: Attic
Description: Third Floor

Manor - March 22, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
[This is the infamous manor attic. It contains a lot of junk gathered over the years, as well as various items used in spellcraft. The podium holding the Halliwell Book of Shadows still stands at the far end witht he ancient tome upon it.]

Luc - June 24, 2008 04:02 PM (GMT)
BAMPH! Luc and Victor arrive, a small cloud of white quickly disappating into the ether. Luc stumbles backwards, visibly tired from the frequent teleporting... especially with the added weight of Victor, whose shorter but muscular structure made him much heavier than one might think.

Wondering just how quickly the warlock would follow them, Luc rests agianst a broken cupboard and tries to catch his breath. "Book, that's what you wanted, right?" Luc hopes his inference is correct. This was the location of the Halliwell Book of Shadows after all - and the blond witch couldn't think what else Victor might want from the manor.

Victor Halliwell - June 24, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
As Luc stumbles away from him, Victor finds himself suddenly wishing that the other male would have stayed close. The physical contact, although brief, had been... nice. He turns and is slightly concerned for Luc's appearance, wondering if Laszlo may have done more than harm than he was letting on. A brief mental scan shows that it is simply exhaustion. A comforting though as Victor isn't quite done with Luc's powers just yet.

"Don't worry. He doesn't have a teleportation power. It'll be awhile before he can make his way here from the city." Victor steps closer to Luc, intent on actually making sure that he's ok. Or at least giving Luc the impression that he is. No need for him to know about uninvited mental scans. He looks over Luc's body, feigning the search for any wounds. "Are you alright? That last bit sent you clear across the room."

(Where is Mel? Thought for sure she'd be back by now.) Even as he reaches out with his mind to locate his sister in the city, Victor takes a hold of Luc and forces him to turn around so as to examine his back where he had hit the wall. Just as he lifts Luc's shirt up, he also picks up on his sister's mental signature and makes note of her location. She would need to come home shortly to help him deal with this.

Luc - June 24, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)
"The fucker is resistant to his own powers." Luc shoots the wall a whitering stare as he stands with his back to Victor, "how the hell was I supposed to know?" It's a redundant question, asked more to air Luc's frustration than to provide any answer. Under normal circumstances, having his shirt half off and having Victor fawn all over him - well, it'd be Luc's idea of a field day.

But right now the teleporter was just too damn annoyed at the cheating warlock. They'd run. And he, Luc, hated running. "I'm fine." His tone of voice is harsher than normal. But he turns around to face Victor and Luc's expression immediately softens. He doesn't even wonder if it's alright.

Luc just grabs Victor around the waist and pulls him into a kiss. It's short. It's sweet. And his hand, taking advantage of the proximity, goes in for a quick squeeze of that fine butt.

"I'm just fine," Luc repeats, before disengaging from Victor and gently pushing the telepath towards the Book. "Now you go do your thing. He might not be able to teleport, but that asshole might have other tricks up his sleeve. And where's your sis? I should probably go grab her." Luc frowns, "you know, in case..."

Victor Halliwell - June 24, 2008 04:47 PM (GMT)
Victor pulls back, allowing his hands to slip away as Luc turns back around. He folds his arms, ignoring the anger and bitterness in the other's tone. Too much is going on for him to worry about Luc's inability to let go. Or maybe the kiss was just that good/distracting. "You couldn't have known. And now that we have pulled back, we can regroup and eliminate the threat."

The fact that Luc does the work for him in offering to teleport after Melinda causes Victor to smile. He could not have planned this better himself. He was sure that an argument would precede any plans for Luc to go after Mel would take place. At least something seemed to be going right.

"She's close." Victor reaches up, brushing his fingers against Luc's temple as he implants his sister's location. The contact is completely superficial and unnecessary for the transfer of the information. Luc doesn't know this, however, and Victor isn't about to pass up on the opportunity. "Go now. I will whip a little something for our guest."

Luc - June 24, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
"Be careful." The thought is voiced, although Luc knows it is completely unneccessary. Victor, of all people, was not about to go chasing after the warlock on his own. He wasn't that stupid - and Luc is learning a good lesson from him.

But it's the thought that counts. Luc had closed his eyes during the knowledge transfer, feeling the location bloom somewhere inside his head. What had once upon a time been violating now felt completely normal... even welcome. Life could be damn useful with a telepath around.

(Because if you die, I will come into the after-life and DESTROY you. If there, you know, is an after-life.)

With that thought, and a lingering smile at the boy he had come to love, Luc McCarthy teleports to the estate grounds and Melinda Halliwell.

The Nexus - June 25, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
[Special delivery! Just within the doorway of the infamous attic, a small series of flames bubble up from the floor and deposit the warlock, Laszlo.]

Mother Nature - July 1, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
[EARTHQUAKE!]

Laszlo - July 1, 2008 08:44 PM (GMT)
Laszlo is sent to the Halliwell manor only a moment before the earthquake strikes. As if readjusting after the sudden teleportation is not enough, the warlock is forced to stand his ground during the small shake up as well. He uses the door frame to steady himself for the duration of the 28 second earthquake.

Once the natural disaster is over, and the Manor remains intact if not slightly disgruntled, Laszlo recommits to the task at hand. Clearly the Source has sent him here to finish what he had started, and with the unplanned earthquake serving up just the distraction and window of opportunity, Laszlo strikes out, releasing a stream of electrical energy directly at Victor.

Victor Halliwell - July 1, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
"You worry too much." The words are spoken in response to Luc's final thought, though they are not in time to be heard by the teleporter before he is off. It's just as well. Preparing for Laszlo's inevitable attack will go much faster without having to explain everything to the novice witch followed by a twenty minute discussion about why that particular plan of action is best.

Heading on over to the sacred tome known as the Book of Shadows, which remains on a stand where it has sat for generations, Victor is thrown by the sudden earthquake. Stumbling forward, he grabs a hold of the book, using its stand as support. This is not his first earthquake, but he never did quite enjoy experiencing them.

Gripping onto the stand for dear life, he draws himself up on the other side, now facing the door - and Laszlo. The warlock's quick reappearance worries Victor more so than the earthquake that threatens to destroy everything. However, the shake not only serves to disorient him but his adversary as well. Come to find out, it's too late.

The earthquake ends and a hail of lightning springs to life from the warlock's fingertips moving at him with unavoidable speeds. "Oh shhhh..." They inevitably find their mark, striking Victor in the chest and propelling him backwards. His body flies through the air and into the stained glass window behind him, sending the telepath hurtling down to the ground below.

Laszlo - July 1, 2008 09:13 PM (GMT)
Laszlo smirks with the success of his attack, which has gone greater than he could have predicted. Full of confidence now, the warlock moves forward, taking long powerful strides across the attic to bare witness to the damage he caused the telepath.

As he passes the Book of Shadows, he spares a glance, licks his lips in temptation but continues on by. He knows that the book is beyond his ability to acquire it. Coming up to the window, Laszlo peers down at the unmoving body of Victor Halliwell and a surge of delight passes through him as he is sure that the boy is dead. Who could survive such a fall?

Wyatt Halliwell - July 1, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
Without any warning, a wave of fiery heat surges forward and consumes the body of Laszlo, completely incinerating him. Nothing but ash remains of the warlock as Wyatt lowers his hands after releasing the deadly power upon the murderous warlock. He had witnessed the events in the attic upon his arrival and now lashes out with vengeance. Concerned for his cousin, and unsure whether or not he even lived, Wyatt orbs down to the front lawn.

Luc - July 2, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)
Luc and Melinda show up. The blond man spins around, staring, horrified, at the carnage on the floor. There is no sign of Victor - just broken glass and blood and burn marks. It's quite obvious that something, or someone had gone through the wrong end of the attic window.

In his haste, Lucifer grabs Melinda and literally jumps out the window. Somewhere in mid-air, he teleports safely to the ground below.
