The dark tunnel truly lives up to its name, it’s home to that sort of all consuming darkness that just seems to suck any light into it and never let it go. As soon as Vanessa can no longer see anything, she stops her movement completely and begins to shuffle sideways so that she finds her shoulder pressed up against the edge of the tunnel. She hopes that this will stop her from walking into anything too damaging and she begins her journey onwards, taking slow, careful steps just in case some of the tunnel floor is loose. Fucking hell... would it kill someone to put fucking light switch or something in here? She thinks to herself bitterly as she walks, giving herself something to focus on besides the fact that she’s currently traipsing through a cave in the middle of who knows where and she has absolutely no idea where she’s going. After what feels like hours – in reality it’s only minutes – Vanessa spots a faint, soft white light up ahead and slowly her vision begins to return to her as she makes her way into the forest of misery.
