Title: Cavern
Description: Orin
Cavern - March 23, 2007 04:10 PM (GMT)
[A large circular cavern with torches along the walls, that are not lit. There is an altar and other demonic amenities within the cavern. It is currently occupied by the Soma Demon Orin.]
London Adler - September 24, 2007 03:29 AM (GMT)
The body of London Adler rests in a small chair, waiting for her demon teacher to arrive. While London is well aware that she's early, she taps her foot slightly impatiently, not in the mood to have to wait for the man she thought would be here. Bitting her bottom lip gently London's body sits relaxed against the back of the chair as she watches the empty space before her, expecting the body of Orin to appear anytime.
"Orin...."
She mumbles as her eyes begin to shine with impatience. The two are going to be working on something or another, thus why she is in his cavern, a place she normally avoids. Though a demon herself, London can't honestly say she enjoys sitting in a dark demonic cavern when there are so many other beautiful places to kill people in. London continues to tap her foot as she awaits the arrival of her teacher, humming a simple tune as she listens to the ticks of her watch.
Orin - September 27, 2007 07:31 PM (GMT)
"Patience, child."
The deep ominous voice of the Soma demon fills the cavern with no distinct source. A gentle breeze causes the torches to flicker as Orin enters his lair, clothed in drab robes that conceal an intimidating appearance and size.
In the demon's arms, he carries various magical supplies which he brings over to a group of shelving that look none too sturdy. For the moment he ignores his apprentice and stocks the shelves, shoving things wherever he may find an empty spot.
Robes billow outward as he turns to face London. In silence, he appraises her with dark eyes that hold no warmth. Though he had requested her presence this morning, Orin holds off on informing as to his reasoning. It would make no difference at the moment with it being daylight in mortal realm. Or where his targets are currently located anyways. (All in due time.)
"Have you been practicing your craft? Kill any mortals perhaps?"
London Adler - October 29, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
Patience, always somethng that seemed to slip by the young demoness. Never did she desire to wait, nor did she enjoy the idea of having to do so, though if Orin thought it to be a good idea one couldn't truely argue that now could they? A gentle smile spread across her lips as she stood, looking at his now stocked shelves.
"Must you really ask?"
Of course she had killed; it was something she enjoyed. Crushing the simple dreams of mortals was simple, but all the same rather enjoying. The only bad part about it was that people just assumed they died peacefully in their sleep and she never got the just credit she deserved for making their last moments alive hell.
"So what are we up today?"
Orin - November 5, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
There is no answer except the cruel and soulless smile that the dream demon produces. A moment passes in silence and Orin turns from his apprentice in order to cross the room. Upon a large wooden table, covered in tattered books, small trinkets and other odd ends, sits a small oak box, which Orin opens to reveal a rather simple, but odd looking ring.
Of course, this ring will look quite familiar to London as she has used it on occasion. Under Orin's guidance of course. The ring is a special magical artifact which allows the wearer to enter the Dream Plane without the pre-existing ability. Though London will one day be able to access the plane, her powers are not yet at that level.
"We are going to go on a little trip."
Orin turns towards London once more and holds the ring out for her to take. In his other hand is a liquid concoction which he pulled from the tabletop as well. From their previous excursions, London will know this to be a sleeping potion to speed the process up and allow them to work during normal daylight hours.
"Drink up."
London Adler - November 20, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
A slight grin plays over the lips of the dark haired demon as she glances toward the table. She knows rather well what the demon master keeps over there. Trinkets of little importance, boring books that she's read goodness knows how many times, other little things, but above all else the ring. The powerful magicks within the ring allow London to access the dream plane, not just a specific person's dream. The grin on her lips grows even larger as the demon approaches her with the ring in hand, alerting her to the fact that they'll be going on a small trip.
"Sounds like a blast"
London happily mutters, gently removing the ring from his hand and placing it on her own finger. Her eyes gently scan the ancient ring, enjoying the feeling of it on her ring. To her it serves as a wedding ring between her and her demonic abilities; abilities she enjoys playing with. As he brings the potion over, London grabs it and smirks,
"Bottoms up..."
She quickly drinks the sleeping potion and waits for the fun to begin.
The Nexus - November 21, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
[The effects of the potion are nearly immediate as London's body falls to the ground. Her physical body is now
asleep as her consciousness is projected into the
Dream Plane. Please reference
this thread for any and all questions about how the Dream Plane functions.]
Orin - November 21, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
Orin watches as London's form falls in a heap as the potion takes hold. He shakes his head in disappointment. One would think that someone as practiced as London would make a more seamless transition.
The veteran demon takes a second potion for himself, though he does not need any assistance in entering the dream plane. Settling into a large chair, obviously custom built to accommodate his size, Orin downs the potion and then accesses his own power to enter the Dream Plane...
[Dream Plane]
Orin's form appears within the dream plane version of his lair, which matches the real version in every way. Some various loose papers vanish and are replaced with other things. Several book titles also switch as these things are not stationed so permanently within his home. However, everything else remains the same.
"Today, our business takes us to San Francisco." Orin says to London as he turns to face his young apprentice. He smiles a cruel, dark smile. "I have a toy waiting for us there. An warm up for the big show I got planned tonight."
London Adler - November 21, 2007 05:22 PM (GMT)
[Dream Plane]
London finds her "body" in what appears to be Orin's lair, but what she knows better to be the dream plane. It's very easy to get lost in the dream plane, especially if you don't know how to get back to the real world. Regardless, London's eyes set upon the body of Orin and wait for some sort of instruction, begging for something to play with.
"The big show? Well then let's go..."
She asks, knowing she won't actually get a decent answer. As for the let's go part of her little sentence, well who knows with the demon before her. He could be happy with her desire to slaughter, or could be enraged over the fact that she's so impatient. The smile on London's face is one of obvious excitement; being in the dream plane always made her feel good.
Orin - November 28, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
[Dream Plane]
Orin does not bother to call London out on her impatience a second time. He can understand it as they were quite obviously in the Dream Plane for some purpose. However, they need to hone her manipulation skills in this plane in order for her to be of any use tonight.
"All in due time, but first to San Francisco." He steps forward and touches London's arm with his own taloned hand. The girl was still working on manipulating the Dream Plane. In fact, he half expected her clothing to change randomly at least once before they are finished. Concentrating on their destination, Orin transports himself and London to the public section of Baker Beach.
