Moving Locations:
When moving from one thread to another, one must bold their next location, while being as specific as possible. For example: 'Joel leaves for the front entrance of the hotel.' rather than 'Joel leaves for the hotel.' This makes it easier for both the staff and readers to follow the movements of a character.
It is an accepted form of meta-gaming for a character to lead other characters from one location to another. Yes, it contradicts the meta-gaming rule, but it is common practice. Just be sure to bold the people that you are leading so it is clear to everyone what is occurring.
Going 'Elsewhere':
Characters should avoid going 'elsewhere' or something similar as their destination. It should only be used when a player is trying to remove their character from the action in preparation of a leave.
Jumping Locations:
When moving on the board, a character must post in every connecting thread between two locations in a logical manner, i.e. the way one would in the real world. For example, no skipping doors, hallways or stairs.
This goes beyond within buildings. Characters should use sidewalks and streets in order to travel within the city as well. In fact, the suburbs are only accessible by crossing Golden Gate Bridge.
The exception to this rule is a teleportation power, obviously. Characters with a teleportation power can bypass the connecting threads. If characters could skip threads normally then it would negate the perks of having a teleportation power, and also adds to the realism of the game.
