The Bell Line of Witches

The Bell line can be traced all the way back to during the witch hunts in Europe. It was in England where the first magical blooded ancestor lived, a male witch by the name of Thomas George Harrow. He had the power of Thought Projection, meaning he could make his thoughts come to life. It wasn’t as strong as powers are in present times, but more along the lines of a novice’s. It was present though and from what could be found out from records of that time, was put in use frequently by Thomas. He was accused of Witchcraft and was imprisoned, ready for a trial which would have most certainly ended with his execution. Yet, Thomas somehow escaped, probably with the use of his power and fled to America.

Thomas settled in Boston, where he married and had four children. It then came obvious that the powers ‘Bell’ witches receive are nine times out of ten, tied to the mind somehow. The children (Bethany, Margret, Patricia and Michael) were each blessed with one of the following abilities: Dream walking, Hypnosis, Telepathy and Mind warping, powers which frequently surface throughout the line’s history. The line carried on, each child having their own children eventually and with each generation the powers of the witches gradually grew stronger.

The Wiccan Rede

“An' it harm none, do what ye will”

Follow the Wiccan Rede and you will be fine. Good magic is all about helping others and protecting innocents, once you start using magic to harm people and act out your own personal revenge, you’re on one slippery slope to evil. Don’t misuse magic or you’ll become exactly what you hate.

The Basics of Magic

Potions
Potions are a good source of magical help. They don’t take much to prepare, though some can be a little tricky to get the ingredients together for. You need to be careful which ingredient you put into a potion as just one wrong herb can totally change the effect your elixir has. Potions are good for speed attacks, where you wouldn’t have time to chant a spell. They aren’t only offensive however, many potions can be used for various effects: teleportation, to induce good luck, for pleasant dreams etc…

Powers
Most magical beings posses at least one type of power. Powers can be active or passive and then offensive or defensive. Premonitions are a type of passive, defensive power whereas something like telekinesis would be active and offensive. Powers are a beings first type of defence against the forces of evil and they should be nurtured as often as possible to ensure that one is ready for anything which may come against them with harmful intent. Over time, through practice and experience, powers grow and develop, reaching new heights and sometimes even new powers.

Scrying
Scrying is a magical way of locating a person, power or object. It involves swinging a crystal on a chain or string over a map, while focusing on the desired target. The crystal should then drop after a time on the location where your target is at. If you receive no results try concentrating harder or using a bigger map. The target may have moved off the map, to a different location.

Spells
Spells are a common display of magic. They are verbally spoke lines which often rhyme. In the spell it should outline what you want to happen by chanting the spell and this should be done clearly to avoid undesirable consequences. They are probably the easiest starting point for any new witch as they are quite easy to construct; yet they are more than likely the easiest type of magic to unintentionally backfire on yourself. So be careful.

Confidence Boosting Spell

Confidence is the key to the person I wish to be
Remove my timid nature, to the hills make it flee
Make me outgoing, extroverted and brave
Rid me of my shyness, I’ll no longer be its slave
