Title: About Toh-dye

Emo Furby - April 20, 2008 02:01 PM (GMT)
Hi.

I tried out Toh-Dye's motor and gears with my screw driver and it spins perfectly.
I saw a screw under the head. That screw is a bit slacken then the other ones.Should i worry? I didn't tried out Toh-Dye with new batteries.I saw a cable which is look like somebody pushed it with it's nail. This cable is a red one,and it's work the gears, which are moved by the motor behind the face.
I had a dream last night that i took in batteries, and Toh-Dye worked again.:)
Maybe this means that if i put in batteries,Toh-Dye will come to life again. I hope so ^_^

Where exactly is the loose screw Szasza? Is it on the outside of Toh-Dye's black plastic body, or is it inside with all the circuits and gears?

Emo Furby - April 22, 2008 02:34 PM (GMT)
it is inside and it's hold the little black gears

If it is very loose you could try to tighten it a little (using your fingers if you can, because a screwdriver might make it too tight). If it is only a little bit loose then I wouldn't worry, because if you tighten it too much it could stop the gear from turning.

Good luck! ^_^

Thank you ^_^
the screw is only just a bit loose. If i must screw in,i must take the head down :(

i can't take it anymore!!!!!!!
I want to try him out,but i can't because i'm afraid that something bad will happen (buzzing, smoking, beeping) If i put in batteries, these things won't happen? :(

I have made a video about Toh-Dye.I can make the motor going when i touch it with the screwdriver,or when i pimp his ears.It sometimes moves a bit,and i can spin the motor, but it doesn't want to going by itself. It just makes quiet and loud buzzing sound.I will send the video tomorrow.I'm a bit shy on it ;)

Hi Szasza, it will be useful to see the video, because Dr Rob might be able to tell a bit more clearly what the problem is. If you don't want to post the video on the forum, you can email the link to info@adoptafurby.com, or send it in a PM ^_^

i would like to show the videos here on the forum, because in the first video i'm telling about me and my Furby Family, then i show Toh-Dye.

In the first video i'm trying to speak english.I was very shy,so maybe i say something wrong for example the pimp word.In these two videos you can clearly hear Toh-Dye's buzzing motor. In the second video i'm quiet and i noticed that Toh-Dye's motor's buzzing sound is louder then the other times. When i shake him or when i push his beak down,he stops buzzing. When i pimp his ears,he starts buzzing very loud. This happens when i push the gear of the ears and mouth. The motor starts buzzing then too when i push the reset button or when i turn the gears with the screwdriver under the motor.

It could be the sticky beak problem? Sometimes Toh-Dye couldn't opening his beak fully when he snored. What makes the Furbys moving very slow, when they are slow?
