My first furby was an Halloween Furby I only got it for $30.00
Now its ears and eyes are not working and it will not talk

Weecoo - March 10, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Aww poor thing, he's probably worn out after all that play!
My first Furby wasn't exactly listed, she was a Furby Baby from 1999, but I voted Furby Baby 1998 as that's close enough ;)
furby5648 - March 11, 2007 01:24 AM (GMT)
When I got him he was working only a litte bit
but I still love it
jellybean - March 11, 2007 05:11 AM (GMT)
My first furby was my all white furby from 1998.
kohkoh - March 11, 2007 07:34 AM (GMT)
My first Furby's were 1998 Furby's Grey and White Fluffy (Fuzzball) called Loo Loo, and Bear Furby called Boh Bay I still have Loo Loo, I would not part with her, but my friend now has Boh Bay :)
furby5648 - March 11, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)

?
I'm a robotics student so my interest in the Furby is a little more academic. The first thing I did with mine was take it apart, put it back together and then augment it. He is now CyberFurby - cybernetic killing machine from the near future.
Oh, and according to Rob he was a 1998 adult.
kohkoh - March 11, 2007 05:46 PM (GMT)
I like the sound of that Cyber Furby, its time Furby's got their own back on what people have done to them, well done Dave.
Can I borrow him
Is that what Project X is

Lol, an army of Super-cyber-killing Furbys ready for revenge on all those people who posted
those videos on YouTube :ph43r:
Dave, I believe your Furby is the 2nd generation owl (also known as wolf) Adult Furby
here. ^_^
furby5648 - March 11, 2007 11:39 PM (GMT)
Owl (wolf) is so fuzzy and cute!
furbygirl07 - March 12, 2007 10:40 AM (GMT)
mine was a 2005 pink and white furby baby..but i dont like it
Weecoo - March 12, 2007 01:09 PM (GMT)
Lol! So how come that didn't put you off Furbys for good? I'm sure glad it didn't anyway! :P They're nothing like the original Furbys are they. I have a pink and grey 2005 baby. He doesn't do much at all, but it's cute how he uncurls his legs...that's about it!
welshiegal - March 12, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
My first furby was the bear furby from the second generation. :) I actually couldn't afford a furby at the time because I was eight or nine  so I went with my friend who was going to get one. I helped her pink out the furby, and later she actually sold it to me for $15. ^_^

:( I can not find one in the U.S. and I want one very bad.
welshiegal - March 13, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
You can find them New in Box on e-brokenfurb-Bay, and though I'd never buy another 1998 furby from them, if you buy a brand new 2005 baby furby, it'll probably be fine as they were so recently release. :)

I do not trust e-bay not even if they have a brand new baby furby <_<
welshiegal - March 15, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
That's probably a good policy :D

Weecoo - March 15, 2007 02:23 AM (GMT)
Well it's very uncommon to find a non-working 2005 Furby adult or baby brand new (obviously once they've been played with they can develop faults though) so if you want one really badly, then I'd say to go for it as it'll probably work fine, and I doubt we'll ever get one in the Adoption Centre.
However if you don't trust e-brokenfurb-Bay for other reasons, such as the sellers can be dodgy or things get lost in the post, then fair enough. There always is a bit of a risk when you buy anything on e-brokenfurb-Bay.
Weecoo - March 15, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
What do you mean? You had trouble with e-brokenfurb-Bay when you bought a ladybug Furby from it?
What I was saying was that if you did want to get a new 2005 baby from there (you said you really wanted one), you can safely say that it should work.
It's more risky with the older Furbys

No I got my ladybug furby at goodwill (it works) and will you have new baby furbiesb at the adopt center
Weecoo - March 15, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
We don't have any plans to actually look for any, but if anyone sends one to us or if we see some in need then of course we will take them in :)
Rich - March 15, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)
My first Furby was Toh-Loo, a church mouse generation one adult furby.
I want him back, but he got thrown away...
that's 4 furbys I've lost now my uncle sold Shelby!
heather - March 15, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
My first furby is going to be the kiwi. My boyfriend is going to give it to me.
jellybean - March 15, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
:o Rich, I know what you mean. Families can be tough at times. When I was little, when the old furbys first came out, my uncle always tried to take them from me and throw them. He never did though, I held on too tight. ;)
That is, untill he came over one day for our barbecue in the summer. This also happened when I was very young when the old furbys first came out, but I had gotten more.
I'm sitting at our outdoor table in the back yard, playing with the furbys. All four of my uncles come over to me, and they each take one of my five furbys. I was able to save my girraffe. ( I know this story so well because my mom tells it to her friends to bother me. I often times can't even remember what day it is.) And they all run into the front yard. Two went through the garden by the side of the house and two went through the driveway. I run after them still holding the girraffe and I put it down on the front porch. What do I see? Three of my uncles standing on the curb holding three furbys and my evilest uncle standing in the middle of the street with my all white furby ont the ground next to him! ( yes, he still is evil to this day. They all are ) I beg him to give it back and refuses. Being a little girl, I start to cry. :(
Then my dad comes out of the house and starts yelling at them all. I don't remember what he said but he waved his arms around alot. Anyway he took us all into the back yard and made my uncles give my furbys back! I put them all inside and then my dad gave mer permission to squirt everyone with the garden hose! My dad was so cool back then!
This post is huge! Sorry!
Rich - March 15, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
oh my god, I bet they were only joking, but that was still mean to make a young girl cry!
How old were your uncles then?
I was an uncle when I was only 4 years old!
Your Dad is cool for making them give your Furbys back.
jellybean - March 15, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
I am not sure. My youngest uncle is currently around thirty, My mom says I saw him graduate high school. theres annother story about when I was little.
Rich - March 15, 2007 10:06 PM (GMT)
He would have been about 20 then?
He really should have known better!
is this other story sad? :(
jellybean - March 15, 2007 11:02 PM (GMT)
ehh, its not really a story. its more like something the graduation reminded me of.
I fell in between the blecher seats while I was there and got a small scratch on my arm. By small, I mean, not needing stitches. The length of the scratch was from near my elbow all the way down to my wrist! I used to call it my scar. ( annother detail remembered thanks to storys from my mom ) According to her, I used to pretend I was a biker girl and ride my bike around the block with my fiends swinging a chain around in the air as I went. I still have the bandanna.
Then it healed, and my friends and I sat around waiting for something better to do.

Lol, oh dear! That reminds me of when my friend at school once dived into a bush to retrieve something that had fallen in there, but unfortunately it was a thorny bush... She got several scratches all the way up her inner arms which started bleeding, it was like a horror film! Don't think they scarred much though.
