CATEGORY - A topic within the forum, eg "Furby News", which defines the subject of the chat going on in that area.

POST - Members can 'post' (write and submit) a message onto the forum for others to read.
AVATAR - The little picture that appears by your name every time you post a message.
REGISTRATIONAnyone may read messages posted in the Furby Forum, but to post a reply back or to start your own topics, you will need to Register as a Member.
This is quick and easy - the only information you need to give is a username (this could be your real name, nickname, the name of your favourite Furby - anything you want), a password and your email address.
To Register, click the "Register" button in the yellow strip on the top left of the screen.
You only need to register once - from then on, you can simply log in (find the "Log In" button in the same place as the "Register" button) using your username and password.
EXTRA FEATURESOnce you have registered, there is more you can do to personalise your username. Click the "My Controls" button in the yellow strip towards the top right of the screen.
From this, you can view any personal messages you may have received, and from the 'Personal Profile' setting, you can adjust several features.
PROFILE INFO: Here you can enter any info you would like to be accessable by any other members of the forum. Eg - Your DOB, your website address, your MSN address, your location, and your interests.
SIGNATURE: This will appear under every message that you post on the forum. It can be a little about yourself, your favourite Furbys, your Furby wishlist, or anything you like!
AVATAR: Many forum users like to have a personal Avatar, as it gives them an identity when posting on forums. This is the small picture that appears by your name when you post a message. You can choose one from the gallery, or upload your own picture. Maximum size 64 x 64 pixels.
POSTING A MESSAGEIf you have found a topic that you would like to post a reply to, simply scroll to "Add Reply" at the top or the bottom of the page. If you are logged in already, you will be taken to a page where you can type a message.
Click on any of the smilies on the left hand side to add them to your post. When you are done, simply click "Add Reply". Alternatively, you can click "Preview Post" to check what the completed post will look like.
STARTING A THREADIf you have a topic you would like to talk about, you can start your own thread in which to discuss it. Simply click onto the category you think is most suitable, then click "New Topic".
You will need to enter the title of your topic, a short description, and one message to start it off. Polls can be created in much the same way, by clicking "New Poll". Select how many choices you would like to be in your poll. Then type each poll choice, pressing Enter or Return between each choice (each poll choice must be on a new line of text for the poll to work properly).
PERSONAL MESSAGESYou may wish to send a message to one member individually, rather than posting it for everyone to see. To do this, simply click on their username by one of the messages they have posted, to access their profile. Then click "Personal Message" or "PM". Replies can be accessed from "My Controls".
Why Does It Say "Furby Buddy"?You may have noticed that it says "Furby Buddy" or something similar underneath your name (and avatar if you have one) every time you post a message. This is an indication of how many posts you have done. As you gradually post more and more messages, this phrase will change. You will eventually reach an adult Furby stage. Will anyone manage to reach the Kid Cuisine stage? Who knows!
