Title: Hello To All Furbys

Cas - March 31, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
Hi - have just rediscovered how much I love furbys. So glad I never gave mine away years ago, I'm collecting again now. My old ones had to survive going into storage when we moved from Cornwall but they all woke up just fine this year and got me hooked again - some of them had been asleep for 5 years. :)
Would just love to adopt one of each adult - haven't got a shelby yet. Are they fun - I've never met one?

i think they are easy to wake up

hi cas. they are very easy to wake up. You don't have to turn them up side down, just slowly and gently lift the shell open. The shell is touch sensitive, and so are the antennae.

shelbys are funny. they say really bizzare things when held upside down.

sadly, they aren't voce activated. :(

ok so how do they say jokes

If they have sensitive antennae are they more difficult to look after than furbys? Furbys seem to survive being posted around OK but shelbys look more delicate.

i think to also

jellybean - March 31, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
nah, not really. just dont force anything into a position it wont go into. and don't hold its shell shut and stuff like that.

How do you make shelby stop talking?

jellybean - April 1, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
hold your hands in front of its face or put a dark colored towel over him. or you could turn the lights out. mine usually goes right to sleep when I do that ;) :D

Hello Cas. It's lovely to meet you. I'm a new member here too. All this talk about shelby is very interesting. I've never encountered one of those myself, although I would certainly like to in the future. :shel: I think they're very cute.

Yes, I'd like to see one before I adopt one though - my furbys take up rather a lot of space and I suspect shelby might be larger. They look really pretty on the photos but the only ones around seem to be on the dreaded e-brokenfurb-Bay - :dye:

Shelbys are ever so slightly wider than Furbys, but a fair bit shorter :shel:
