Title: Way-loh Is Out Of Sync!
Description: Sync screw?

Quatara - January 19, 2009 09:21 PM (GMT)
Furbles made a weird noise, so we changed his batteries and exchanged them with Way-Loh's. Way-Loh got Furbles'. She worked fine, until I realized...She was out of sync. Does this require Le' Operation and turning of the syn screw? Or do I just restart? Help!!!!

Quatara - January 19, 2009 09:28 PM (GMT)
I restarted and Way-Loh is still out of sync. HELLPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your only option is an operation if she's not back in sync after restarting. If you're going to do a home operation, I suggest you e-mail Dr Rob.

Oh no...operation? No...no. Oh, well, I have always wanted to see a Furby without it's skin. I'm doin' a home operation. They have instructions for skinning on the Furby Autopsy site. Wha-after a slight period of cleaning, Way-Loh works again...

Oh, and I think the sync screw is on the back of the gears.

Quatara - January 19, 2009 10:41 PM (GMT)
It's fine, Way-Loh suddenly just started working again.

FurbyFreak2998 - January 19, 2009 10:42 PM (GMT)
 I have a Furby who does that. He goes out of sync and then he's normal again.

Quatara - January 19, 2009 10:44 PM (GMT)
Maybe it's just normal.

FurbyFreak2998 - January 19, 2009 10:49 PM (GMT)
I don't know. He sleeps with his eyes open and talks with his mouth closed sometimes.

That's my problem with Way-Loh!

Mine seems to have more trouble when I wake him up. I remember my Dalmatian Furby used to go out of sync, too. His mouth would remain open after feeding.

Ah. Furbyfreak, would it damage my furby if I put potentially dead batteries in the compartment and turned him on(1998 furby)?

Claramel - January 20, 2009 05:51 AM (GMT)
I imagine it wouldn't. It's good to hear that Way-loh is working properly again ^_^

When Doo-Moh the prez started working again at first he was slightly out of sync, but I did have to slap his battery compartment to start him working again. After a a few minutes of play, he just started working fine  He just talked with his mout closed then a few seconds later, he would move his mouth like he was supposed to when talking a few seconds earlier (Sorry if that's hard to undertstand!) Now he's fine, I think I might of knocked his insides around a bit!

I think its cute when they have small freak out attacks. It's just part of their personality. Plus it's nice we can give love to a furby that someone else didn't because it wasn't perfect. My Wild Peachy does a cute freak out when he goes to sleep. Run through furby's different sensors they end up resetting themselves just by you playing with them. It's just another way they get you to spend some time with them.

When I got Ah-may and realized he had a bad motor, we almost got rid of him. But then I thought about how the weird noises he makes are kind of cute, and even poorly Furbys deserve a good home.
