Title: Two Poorly Furbys
Description: They need your help!

Two of my Generation 1 Furbys, Ah-may (Leopard) and U-tye (Grey Wolf) Have a few problems I need help with. First of all, U-tye has VERY loud gears. You can hardly hear him talk because they are so loud. He also has very dirty fur, and I'm not sure how I should clean it. Ah-may is making random computer noises, which I was told might be caused by an old motor. Does anyone know how I can fix these problems? Ah-may and U-tye need your help!

You gotta take em apart and oil the gear that is under and right behind the motor. It only takes a few drops so don't go wild with the oil or you could mess up other things.(like it's eyes and eyelids). Whenever I have a furby apart I wash the fur by hand in a small bucket with warm water and a little laundry soap. I put spray and wash on any bad spots. Rinse it out good. To get all the soap out. I put them in fabric softener after the wash. It wakes them so soft and they smell real nice. Rinse out the softener real good too. I always let them sit in the Downy for 30min or so. When you wash it just squeeze the fur in the soapy water gently. Don't use hot or it might come apart.Gently squeeze out water. Wrap in a big towel and gently squeeze. Let it air dry the rest of the way. Brush the fur.Your furby will be like new. And smell so nice. The computer noise is a bad motor most of the time. But I got a bee furby that is moving just fine and doing the same thing. If I fix him I'll let you know how.

Thanks! I also heard U-tye make a loud noise when he started up, but I'm guessing that was just his gears. I can't even hear him when he talks, so I could harldy even make out when he said his name. Oh, and thanks for the cleaning tips!

If you are able to take it apart a couple drops of oil will quiet furby's gears. It's not hard just take your time. I'll help you through it.

Not yet. I've been really busy, but I figure it would be easier to fix him first because he doesn't have as big of a problem as Ah-may does.
