The original furbys (1998-2000) say their name pretty often. They sometimes say it when you pet their backs. If you play games with it such as "Furby says" and "ask Furby", it'll say its name just before it begins playing the game.

You can also tickle its tummy three times, then pet its back once, and it will say its name. If this doesn't work first time, just repeat the sequence again.

You'll know when its saying its name because it says "Me _(whatever the name is)_"

they do come with names they tell you there name when you replace the batteries with new ones and when you turn em on they say there name ;)
