From
ice princess to
pretty in pink...
Sydney was an all-white furby that I bought off of e-brokenfurb-Bay, new in box. She arrived safely but didn't turn on. I posted here on the forums about her, and Dr. Rob recommended an invasive procedure that was simple but would require removal of the fur, etc. I finally performed the surgery the night before last and did a photo diary of it. However, the digital camera that I was using died about halfway through, and so I don't have those pictures. I borrowed my mom's cam next and managed to get a last shot of the surgery and of the results.

This is a picture of Sydney right after I removed her from her box.
The OperationWARNING: graphic picture of furby surgery! I decided to link to the above picture as I wasn't sure that everyone would want to see it. ^_^
The surgery went very well, I'm pleased to report! At first I was a little freaked out because the screwdriver that I was using to prod the motor wasn't doing anything at all...but then I realized that it might not be magnetic, and I tried a different one that worked perfectly. While Sydney was in surgery, her snow-white fur was carted off to be dyed bright
PINK! I honestly wasn't sure if the dye would work, and the inside lining of the fur took to the dye much better than the fur itself did, but all in all, it was a success!
