Title: Hello!
Kandi the Cat - May 22, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
Hi all! My name is Amanda, but I go by Kandi! I'm 19 years old and I have my own Furby, a Cheetah.
I have a question as well, how can you tell if your Furby is a girl or boy? I can't tell with mine. >>;

Hi KANDI.........Welcome! We've had this debate recently . Some people go by the colour, some by how high the voice is, and some just by how they look. What colour eyes does yours have?

Hello Kandi - nice to meet you on the forum. As Ash Morgan says, we recently had the 'is it a boy or girl furby' debate. There are loads of ways to decide, some of them have a high pitched voice - some of them just have the sort of face that says 'I'm a boy' don't think the furbys really mind as long as they have a nice home and plenty of company :D :dye:

Welcome to the forum Kandi :D What is your Cheetah called?
I can't think of much to add to what the others said about how to tell if it's a boy or a girl, except that if all else fails and you still can't decide, play the game "Ask Furby", and get them to tell you themselves if they're a boy or girl

Haha, never thought of that one, thats a good idea! I have a couple rfurbys where I can't tell, So maybe I should ask too.
You could also go by a combination of things, such as voice pitch, how long their eyelashes are, and personality quirks (such as one thats a scardy cat ).
Speaking of voice pitches, how many are there? I have fairy, and my girraffe both have really high pitched voices, while Doo Moh has one that is higher pitched, but not as high as Way Loh or Fairy. Then I have Pink who has the same voice pitch as Mee Mee and my other boy furbys. Could someone re-explain this all to me so I can make sense of it all?

I named it Akimoto.
Ash-Morgan - May 23, 2007 08:51 AM (GMT)
My opinion would be that Akimoto is a boy............But thats just guessing! I tend to look at them, and listen to them, and work it out that way.
"Ask Furby" is a really good idea if you are stuck.

Let us know what you decide

There are only three standard voice pitches, which are high, medium and low. But I do notice some variations between Furbys, such as some Furbys with the high picthed voice sound just that little bit higher than others who also have the high voice  I think that's due to variations in the actual speakers. It gives them even more individuality :D

So I guess Pink is just.....special then?
Lovely singing voice though. ;) :P

Kandi - I think Akimoto is a wonderful name for a furby - none of mine are as unusual as that :D :dye:
