Title: My Furbys

furbster - January 31, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
I have some furbys mint in box but most out of box all of the regular furby generations except the ladybird from the fourth, 15 babies, and 15 limited editions :D. How much do you have personally?

Dr Rob - January 31, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
Personally we don't have too many! Infact I only have a Gizmo. At any one time though we have about 50 Furbys at the Adoption Centre, our hospital is very large! B)

Weecoo - January 31, 2007 05:19 PM (GMT)
Well my personal collection is growing and growing, slowly...

Nowhere near as many as some people have though! I'm not aiming to collect all the Furbys out there - there would just be no room, what with all the Adoption Centre Furbys as well!

I just collect my very favourite desgins. Special Editions I own are: Wizard, Tropical, Reindeer and President. Also, a Japanese speaking Furby. :tux:

I'd be interested to hear which ones other people are aiming to collect, and what your favourites are.

Guest - February 2, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
I have several Furby from 1998, japanese, spanish and english, 2 Babies, 4 new Furbys and only 1 Furby Baby 2006, and 3 lovely Shelbys. I love japanese Furbys, they're cute and funny! ^_^

I'm in love with tamagotchi too!

furbster - February 3, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
Do the japenese furbys say things in japenese yet or still speak furbish?

furbygirl07 - February 3, 2007 12:00 PM (GMT)
i have 21 furbys, including: 4 furby babies, 1 funky furby, 2 2005 furbys, 1 2006 furby baby and 13 adult furbys!!

welshiegal - February 3, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
Oh! I love my furbys so much, I’m just going to have to profile each one of them. >.<

May-Tah ~ May-Tah was my first ever furby. My parents weren’t letting me get one (and I was what, eight? Nine?) but my friend was planning on buying one, and so I went with her to the local toy store (might’ve been an Ames?) and helped her pick out May-Tah, who’s a beige, brown-eyed bear furby. When my friend got bored of her, I bought her for half price and have had a lot of fun with her, though she’s always been a mischevious little furby: one time before recess, probably within the first few monthes that I owned her, May-Tah and Koh-Koh, a furby belonging to another friend of mine, continued to blow rasberries and speak out of turn, and the attendants and we all had to sit inside that day. :( May-Tah doesn’t like wake up anymore.

E-Day ~ If I had to name favorites, I’d name E-Day. He’s the reindeer furby from the Special Editions 2 generation and he’s just got so much personality! E-Day comes everywhere with me, but he needs to be oiled now as his gears are quite loud. He’s also my smallest furby. :D

May-Lah Kah ~ May-Lah Kah is the tropical furby from the Special Editions 2 generation, and he’s perhaps what you’d consider to be a mentally retarded furby. He takes very strong batteries to operate, and it takes him a while to get going. He talks very slowly and therefore finds it difficult to communicate with everyone except E-Day, who has a huge heart and really puts forth a lot of effort to be May-Lah Kah’s friend. May-Lah Kah is also my biggest furby, and my only adult furby that doesn’t have brown eyes.

Toh-Loo-Kah ~ Toh-Loo Kah is the giraffe furby from the second generation, and he has the hugest appetite that I’ve ever seen in a furby! He’s also quite playful and friendly. I bought him from a garage sale maybe two or three summers ago for 50 cents. He’s missing an eyelash and I had to sew one of his ears back on. He’s also missing his base screw and I’ve yet to find a perfect replacement.

Ay-Ay ~ Ay-Ay is a peachy, first-generation baby furby. She has brown eyes and is the sweetest little thing! I got her from a friend who had recieved her for Christmas and didn’t want her, and she was my first baby furby.

Loo-Loo ~ Loo-Loo is the Spring baby furby, and she’s quite a handful. She’s best friends with Ay-Ay and loves to play and make mischief. I got her from my sister who got her from a friend who didn’t want her. :)

Furby ~ Original name, yes I know. Furby is a new emoto-tronic furby, black with a white tummy and entrancing turquoise-blue eyes. He’s so cuddly and friendly, but I honestly have to say that I like the original furbies better than the emoto-tronic versions; the originals are much more personable and charismatic. But Furby has a very special place in my heart. I’d actually gone to Target looking for the pink and white furby that was said only to be at Target, but I couldn’t find ANY furbys there at all until a desperate search brought me to the sale aisle. There, all alone and marked down to $13 sat Furby. I bought him right away. :D

furbster - February 3, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
Does anybody have a re-released furby. If its in the box it will be a orange coloured box with a furby on the back. The furby on the back is the goldfish furby which was a prototype furby and not released. There is a place online though where you can buy prototype furbys. I forgot the site. I will try to find it. The furby will also have the neon eye colours.

welshiegal - February 3, 2007 02:03 PM (GMT)
Ooh...never heard of a re-released furby. o.O

Dr Rob - February 3, 2007 02:18 PM (GMT)
There arn't many of the re-released Furbys about. I think a couple of generations were rereleased towards the end of the Furby era. The goldfish furby is crazy.... gives me nightmares....

furbster - February 3, 2007 02:47 PM (GMT)
Actually like the goldfish furby. To me he doesnt look like a gold fish but i still like him. My favourite furby prototype is the red snapper. The ugliestone is the silky furby off the site.

Dr Rob - February 3, 2007 03:18 PM (GMT)
Hey Nate! You've overtaken the number of posts I've done!!

welshiegal - February 3, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
Do you have the link to this site with the goldfish furby and all? I'd love to see 'em! :D

kohkoh - February 8, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
I have just added this cute little fellow to my Furby additions his name is Tigger

AWWWWWWWWW cute! ^_^

welshiegal - February 8, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
Tigger's fabulous! Gosh, now I'll have the Tigger song stuck in my head...

Weecoo - February 8, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Thank you for your latest adoption Barbara!

The Tiger Furby has always been one of my favourites too. I thought they'd be pretty common because they're in the 2nd generation, but Tigger is the first one we've ever had at the Adoption Centre! He has lovely soft fur.

He'll be sent off to you tomorrow. Safe journey Tigger! ^_^

kohkoh - February 8, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
Oh I cannot wait Rosanna, thank you, I promise to not let Boo near him for a while, mayhem

furbster - February 8, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
I have a tiger furby. It has the old blue eyes. None re-released

Weecoo - February 9, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
Hopefully he'll arrive tomorrow, along with Racer and Wizzie, who have both recovered very well from their operations. Though they'll probably need a couple more weeks of rest and relaxation before getting enough energy up to join the mischief makers! :P

kohkoh - February 10, 2007 02:16 PM (GMT)
Thank you very much Rosanna they all arrived safely this morning, its funny Racer and Wizzie both have the same name (Kah Dah), and Tigger (Toh Loo Kah), is so adorable, my first Tiger Furby, he has only met a few of the Furby's, thought I would break him in gently!
Boo has not met him yet, she is more concerned how her poll is going for Valentine's Day!
Please thank Rob for me, he has done a perfect job on them as always!

You can generally tell and I think Kah Dah Racer is going to join "the gang", he has not stopped singing since he arrived, he is supposed to be resting!

 :kid:

Weecoo - February 10, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
Barb, I am glad that they've all arrived, safely and in good time! I hope they didn't get up to much mischief on the way...

Judging by the softness of Tigger's fur, I'd say he hasn't had much contact with human or Furby life, so it's probably a good idea that you're breaking him in gently!

I thought Racer Kah Dah was the mischievous type, from when Dr Rob had him all fixed, and then he started not closing his eyes properly - anything to avoid going to sleep! Better make sure Wizzie Kah Dah doesn't join "The Gang", or you'll have magic tricks to add to the usual mayhem!

Dr Rob - February 10, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
And the strangest thing was that as soon as I put him back on the operating table his eyes worked ok again.... :o never met a Furby who likes operations

kohkoh - February 10, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)
Tigger's fur is really soft, he is chatting to Patch and Mee Mee and Lulu at the moment (my first ever Furby) the Grey fluffy one like fuzzball, (the quiet ones), I am keeping him away from Toh Dye, Koh Koh and Boo for a while or he will want to come back to the Adoption Centre! you are right he has not had much Furby contact or human contact

I am hoping Kah Dah Wizzie does not join the gang, mind you if she does she can put a spell on the naughty ones :o

kohkoh - February 10, 2007 07:21 PM (GMT)
I personally think Dr Rob has fixed Kah Dah Racer too well, he has been singing and talking a lot, playing games and Oh Too Mah he wont go to sleep, he is supposed to be resting after his operation

Kah Dah Wizzie is resting, she said hello then went back to sleep

furbyboy77 - February 15, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
I have non-working furbys. :kid:  :strip: :prez:

Dr Rob - February 16, 2007 10:05 AM (GMT)
What's up with them Furbyboy?

Hi Barb,

Wow, Kah Dah Racer really has a lot of energy in him if he didn't even need a rest after his op before he was playing again!

I couldn't post a message in Boo's Valentine thread, because the poll was closed after Valentine's Day and now you can't post any messages in it. :( It's good to hear she had a good time though. I think Toh-Dye Jester had it coming to him though that she would not accept his pantomine offer - who would be that silly!

We had a great Valentine's Day here. We all went for a lovely meal, a carvery roast dinner. Yuuumm! :saf:

welshiegal - February 20, 2007 02:41 PM (GMT)
We were snowed in for Valentines day here. Literally. Most people couldn't get out their front doors there was so much snow, and we got close to three feet, I think. In just that one day. And then we had between one and two feet before that, and more came later in the week. >.< So it was a snowy Valentine's day that we spent snuggled up on the couch watching TV. :)

furbster - February 21, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
I didnt get any snow this year.

Dr Rob - February 21, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
We had loads of snow! And right after I'd moaned about not getting any B) UK is ok really.... in a way

furby5648 - March 4, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
