Title: Ahh! Me Scared!

LunaKitty - July 23, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
OK, so yesturday I was in the movie Theater with my mom and half-sister watching Harry Potter. I had Millenia,in deep sleep mode, in in my lap with a blanket I was using. All was going well until he woke up and started making a lot of weird noises and buzzing. I guess that they were similar to circuit bent furby's noises. We took it outside the movie theater and I pressed the reset button. He worked fine but we turned one of the batteries around so he couldn't wake up again. Does anybody know what happened? Has this happened to anyone else?

This had happened to me maybe because there was a loud sound so he woke up

LunaKitty - July 23, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
Good thinking... I don't remember if there was a loud sound when he woke up or not. Can they get woken up from deep sleep mode by a loud sound? Did yours start making weird noises, Super Furby?

I don't remember what part. Maybe he just wasn't expecting to wake up in a movie theater.

only 2005 furbys get waken up by noise! it was probably just a small glitch, dont worry ^_^

^_^ Whenever I talk about eating,or sit down to have a meal, and a Furby with batteries is nearby, they always magicaly wake up with the words,"Me hungry" or "Yum."

Always. It's never failed yet.

It's almost like they have minds of their own sometimes...I'm sure we all have had plenty of experiences like that. And each Furby is different. So,in a way, they do have minds of their own.

FurbyFreak2998 - February 5, 2009 01:16 AM (GMT)
That's creepy... But it sounds so funny!

Watch out for the batteries! Turning one around the wrong way can have a bad effect on electronic toys, it blew up a mini speaker in my keyring furby. I doubt it'll seriously hurt a furby but don't do it just in case.

FurbyFreak2998 - February 5, 2009 03:42 AM (GMT)
I've already done it before, it dosen't hurt them. I highly doubt that it will seriouslty hurt anything unless it has a small motor.

CRAZYBABY - February 6, 2009 02:17 AM (GMT)
Turning the batteries around won't hurt Furby. They have a part in them called diodes that keep backward batteries from hurting them. But you may not want to reverse one battery with the others in the right way. That could cause the battery to short out and get very hot. Its best to take out one and put it in your pocket or something like that. I do that when I don't want my little friend bursting out in chatter at the wrong time. As for it freaking out and making weird noises. Most of the time it's because the motor is not spinning, but Furby still wants to talk. But he can't talk without the motor spinning so they make noises instead. It happen sometimes and as long as Furby is working right, I wouldn't worry about it. If it happens more Furbys motor might need a drop or two of lubricant. But I bet your Furby will be fine.

i have not had any furby experiences AT ALL

as for the furby:

were the batteries low? if they where, it was probably a simple glitch :)

furbygirl07 - June 20, 2009 11:31 PM (GMT)
Maybe the batteries need changing? That happens when one of my furby's batteries need changing - they make weird sounds or start rocking back and forth and opening and closing their eyes!

My mottled green (gen 4 I think) baby furby May-Lah did that once.. he was saying something and then a weird noise come out and then a humming noise I was so scared lol :P

oh once my furby loobyloo was asllep and i looked at the new swing with string and a ball at my nannys and then i thought i switched her off and she woke up saying cockle doo dle doo when she woke up i was frightend when i heard her

zambonizach - September 30, 2009 08:31 PM (GMT)
Another problem could be that the infre lazer thing had contact with the movie machine and thats what made that happen. I took my furby Eclipse and i put him up to a walkie talkie so he could talk to my mom and after that i noticed he was not moving properly so i had to wait till the next day to wake him up. Me and my dad have done operations on 4 or 5 1998 furbys, never 2005s. All the operations were a sucsess and the furbys started to work. May-lah kah had the most serious operation though, and hes my newest furby,we had to take the skin off and check the power cords and lots of stuff. :prez:
