When do you consider a person your friend?

Now, this question i like. Because i find myself questioning if this person is a friend. For example i may talk to a person 'A' (alot) but if i talk to another person 'B' about person 'A' i usually say "this guy/gal (person A) told me blah..blah...blah... I don't say "my friend told me (person A) blah...blah...blah... I think i consider someone a friend when we hang out together, or talk alot with each other.

But, its really hard when to consider someone a friend in my side, coz, I always think of what might they say, if i would say that he is already a friend of mine, what would they think or say about me if I say those words.

I think a persons a friend when they repect the way you respect them lol :P
