Title: Why do you like RPG's so much?

My reason for liking rpg's is that its a fantasy world that you actually get to participate in, and if done right (meaning its a good game) you feel like you have a sense of accomplishment once you achieve something in the game, either finding a rare item, or dodging 200 lighting bolts in a row to unlock a characters legendary weapon (ff10), completing all additions in order to gain access to the last addition for a character (legend of dragoon), or even playing 100+ hours to complete every single quest, both main and sides quest (Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind). These are feel of satisfaction you get when you go thru an rpg and personally no other genre of game could give me the same feeling. Defeating halo (great game) doesn't give me the same sense of accomplishment as getting 0:00 on the Chocobo Race in FF10 (and thats an optional thing compared to defeating a whole game). So you see rpg's are a sense of knowing you having an effect on your character and the world of the game (that is if the game is done well).
