Hi guys, Ian is working on a potentially major expansion to the main APnotes.net site, and would like to have some feedback on it, so I offered to post on the forums and see what you all think.
As of now, the site is solely for notes for the AP US History book The American Pageant 11th Edition, and the plans are for it to remain that way. However, we feel that the site could be made a bit more relevant by adding a way for users to contribute content to the site - after all, once you read the notes for whatever chapter you are currently studying in class, there's really no reason to stick around. To further enhance the site experience, we are in the early stages of implementing a system for any user to upload his or her own personal notes for any book from any class that will then be automatically published to the site for anyone to use. If you have notes for a book that is not yet listed, simply create your own listing for it and upload your notes.
We do not currently have a time frame for release of this new feature as it will require some updates to the main site; however, what Ian would like to have at this point is any suggestions you have for features you'd like to see included, as well as thoughts about how useful this may be, etc.
I think this is a good idea. My friend and I were working on setting up such a multi-subject help site. I would be happy to add any input if needed and feel it would be a great addition to the site.
Hey Guys,
I finally got up a feature that allows users to upload and edit their own notes. Although I was originally planning on it having the same look and feel of the current site, I decided that a Wiki (Wikipedia-themed) would be the best way to give users all of the unique options that I wanted (not to mention it's more efficient).
So with that, please support the new Wiki by
adding notes if you have them. It's going to be a great resource that will expand beyond U.S. History. I haven't found many great sources of notes where students can actually modify/fix the notes, so I look forward to the ApNotes.net Wiki.
Here's a link to the Wiki, but you can also find one on
