My teacher has given us a packet of terms to memorize and it seems I have a hard time memorizing names and dates. Does any one have any tips on how to study lists of terms and their definitions?

I always find it easier to do a chunk of them at a time and just repeat them until your mind goes numb. Once that happens, go do something else for a little while, then try to recall them - if you can do it, then move on to a new chunk of words, and if not, then go over the first chunk again. Once you've gotten the second chunk down, go back over the first chunk again to double-check and keep building up until the end.

Simply repeat until the whole list is done, and voila - you know them all.
