Title: Welfare
Description: Well? Ha ha ha...

What is everyone's belief on welfare, economic equality? Do you believe in survival of the fittest? Do you believe in the elite? Or do you feel it is the duty of each human to help others as much as possible? Maybe it is a little of both?
To be honest, if we leave out religion, this can only really be purely opinion. Sure, the opinions can be supported by facts, but they will still be opinions.

One rule for everybody. If I have to work, so do you.

Too many people take welfare for granted. That's unfair to the working class. No matter whether there be "inequality" or an "elite" there still needs to be a system. Everyone is born with their specific attributes and they need to use them instead of sitting around on their bums all day.

If you lose your job, you should get 2 months of government support to help you find a new job, or perhaps 3 or 4 if you have a family to support. After that, if you haven't been able to find some kind of a job to bring in income, it is no longer my problem. I'm tired of people abusing welfare and allowing themselves and their families to live in subpar conditions on somebody else's dime just because they are either too lazy or too apathetic to support themselves.
If other people want to continue to provide aid after those few months of government support in the form of charitable donations, that's their business; I think it's an admirable thing to do and I would encourage those who are able to do so. However, it should not be the business of the government to go digging into responsible taxpayers' pockets to endlessly support those who will not do it for themselves.

Wow, you nailed it for once. Everyone should work for what they have. Period.
