Okay every week i take a chapter test... AP STYLE... i do fine... then just last week i took another ap style test for a mid term 80 questions and i totally just guessed on most of them... i have a problem with eliminating answers ... got any tips???

the only thing i can say is to go through any notes, listen to lectures, and skim/read the chapters that are going to be on the test.
also, it helps me to prepare ahead of time. that way, there is less stress---if you are prepared. and while taking the test, watch the clock. if you don't know something, just come back to it and do the easy ones first. after all, the hard and the easy questions are all worth the same amount of points. you might as well take advantage of that and get the easy ones right at least. and...read each question carefully. a lot of times, people don't read the whole question (myself included) and they find it difficult to eliminate a should-be-obvious answer.

For me eliminating answers is strictly a mental thing. I agree with shannok about preparation and the "should-be-obvious answer[s]" but I'd say that if you're guessing, just stay calm and know that you can get your A+. Tests are as much a mental game as a "spitting out answers" game....
