I know that 2008 is far off but as you probably know, Rudy Giuliani has begun to consider running in 2008. Polls show that he would beat both John McCain and Hilary Clinton if he ran, although those are only hypetheticals. He did a great job in NY and handled September eleventh extrememly well in my opinion. So what do you say, any body on the
Giuliani band wagon?
Gulianni IS pro-choice and for gay marriage, but in my opinion those things may be overshadowed by the good he could possibly do for the country. It's too early to tell for me. I want to see who else is running.

You can say that again. All sorts of things can change over the course of 2 years, and I put absolutely no stock in polls of that nature taken this early in advance.
Personally, I'd rather not run Rudy; he's far too liberal to have the support of a good chunk of the Republican party. Much as it would be appealing to Democrats to run someone like Giuliani, that's no reason to dump loads of Republican principles just to grab votes. I mean heck, I subscribe to the doctrines of realpolitik as much as the next guy, but getting some independent voters and a few conservative Democrats to me is not worth potentially losing the votes of a large number of conservative Republicans. Plus, going right along with realpolitik, I highly doubt at this point in time that party leaders won't do everything in their (considerable) power to keep Rudy from getting the Republican nomination.
Aside from being pro-chioce and pro-gay marriage, this once democrat now republican has the right attitude to be a good president. As dimmick said, he would get many repulican votes like NY and possibly NJ (usually democratic states). He also seems like the kind of guy who would get things done, unlike the current pres. and cabinet. What other liberal ideals does he follow if any?
Um, he's pro-choice, pro-gay and anti-gun - not only that, but he's a thrice-married lapsed Catholic. What the heck else do you need to shoot yourself in the foot in conservative strongholds?
