Since nobody else is posting, I'm gonna try and liven it up with a very easily debatable topic: religion. For those of you who would prefer secularism in the country AS A WHOLE (not only government) and those who would prefer religious bases to remain in the nation as a whole to duke it out. So, post your opinions and defend them with PROVABLE facts and your opinions.
As you can already guess, I am for religion in a country, but your topic is somewhat unclear. I am for religion and church, it helps our culture. But are you saying a real religious base as you posted in you Freedom of religion topic and I don't want to go down that road again.
At the same time though, I briefly researched this and found little to no specific citations of how religion does or does not benift a nation as a whole.
At least you posted something.
I mean religion in the sense of the morality that it brings with it, the teachings that may help the people in this country revert from this promiscuity and immorality that is so blatantly shown in the Media. The sense of hope it gives people that are otherwise hopeless, and the sense of direction it gives our people. Something to fight for, so to speak. Not necessarily religion in government, but religion in our culture. I hope maybe that narrowed it down a little.
