Does marijuana effect the brain THAT much? How do we really decide? Don't aclohol and cigarettes also effect the brain and body? Would more people smoke marijuana after legalizing it, or less? Where do we draw the line?

Now while I agree marijuana isn't THAT terrible of a drug, my issue is that perhaps it may lead to the legality of other drugs. And that is what I don't want to see. I also have noticed from countries such as the Netherlands who have legalized marijuana that it is, in essence, a country of stoners. A country of people who can simply leave all their problems behind when they smoke a blunt. Is this what we want America to become?

That said, I completely realize the possible benefits of legalization, such as taxation and government regulation. However, it is simply the "acceptance" that it brings of the drug and the national consequences that may follow. While it is a hard question, as of now I stand firm. But I completely understand the other side's arguments.
