Maybe. That's why I put both "Yes" and "No"

I say yes. Mostly because of religion, partly because it would partially dishearten me to believe there isn't. After all if there was no life after death, what would humans have to look forward to in their dying days.

I do believe in a "life after death" to an extent.
I also believe in past lives and such.
But just an aside, you should post stuff like this in the general section, not the political. No big deal though. :)

I hope there is life after death, of some type or another. However, there is no evidence pointing towards it.

I voted No, but really I voted No Way of Knowing.

I voted yes because no matter how much bodily harm you encounter on Earth, your soul is never harmed. It continues on for enternity. How else are we to explain "Heaven and Hell" or "Enlightenment" or even "Purgatory"?
Cloaked - January 13, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
That's simple. By simply not believing in a soul.
[R@v3N] - January 13, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
Not believing in a soul is like not believing in cheeseburgers! Do you just believe that emotions and such are stimulated souly (sp?) by the brain? Are you to say that the brain is what attracts us to other people? To say that it's what makes us do what we do and then try and back up that statement with the brain made us do that because it did? No one can fully explain how or why the brain functions so who's to guess that there is not some other higher being that stimulates the brain, so to speak, a soul?
Cloaked - January 13, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
It's solely.
That is why I said believe and not know. You do not know there is a soul. I do not know there is not soul.

Oh no, those don't exist either - - - ;)
Cloaked does have a point (although I, personally, feel that we have them... sometimes :) )
Anyways, I voted yes, because I would like to think that I'm an optimist. However, it is something based solely on feelings and intuition, so I guess it's one of your "undebateable" topics, R@v3n....
