Title: Harry Potter

I love it. I am re-reading OotP at the mo.

Anyways, let's cut to the chase...

We're all a bunch of rabid shippers, and I want to know your HP ships.

Well... :P

I ship Ron and Hermione.
and Harry/Ginny, but not nearly as passionate

I absolutely love it.
I read way too much HP fanfiction.

Anyway, ships? I'll read pretty much everything that's well-written (apart from Harry/Hermione (that's just... no. They're like brother and sister ) and Harry/Draco (I think I've just read way too many badfics that had that ship)), but the ships that I really ship ship, are:

Remus/Sirius (it's still, after about 5 years, my slash OTP :P)
Snape/Hermione (this one's quite difficult to find decent fics of, though, in most of them Snape is unbelievably OoC)

Apart from that, I often go looking for angsty/twisted/weird ship fics, like Hermione/Tom Riddle. Stuff like that.

I like most of the canon ships okay too, but I won't go looking for specific fics about them.

that's exactly why I hardly ever read fanfics. I mean, if my ships are canon, what do I need them for :P

See I have seperate ships for fanon and canon.

I mean, when I'm reading the books I despise Draco and I cheer when Ginny kisses Harry. But as soon as I get to the computer Harry is too sappy and Draco has to get it on with Ginny.

Fics do exist for another purpose than getting your favorite ship together :P
Like killing off your least favorite character :P

Oh, right. Naw, I have one mindset for both, finding shippy subtext is just way too much fun :P (have you SEEN the evidence Remus/Sirius has? :P Seriously. (sorry for the unintended horrendous pun))
And Draco/Ginny is another ship that has been completely ruined by badfic. Tsk. Damn Suethors. *shakes fist*

I started out with D/G so I hope said badfic isn't mine! It's difficult to find the goodstuff though - there's a lot of cliche in that ship.

Fan fic became a completely shippy exercise for me through HP. I tried to write fics that weren't shippy, particularly Harry ones and Sirius ones, but no one reviewed. Whereas, however crappy my ship orientated fics were, people did review. Forget sex sells - ships sell. So I ditched some projects I was so passionate about and moved on. Maybe it was just my writing style, perhaps it doesn't work with non-shippy stuff. I'll probably go back and do more character orientated stuff when the series is complete.

The fic I'm most proud of though isn't shippy, it's a one-shot about Hermione getting addicted to the Time Turner. Sigh. Those were the days.

As for Remus/Sirius, I can totally see why a lot of people ship it, but I just can't do it. It undermines the Remus/Sirius/James/Peter unit for me personally. But there are some great R/S fics out there, and there is a lot of evidence, so I can completely see why a lot of people like to go down that road.

Plus I love Remus/Tonks.

Hermione/Snape can be done really well in a Post-Hogwarts/Voldemort-in-Power setting, but I can't stand fics when she's still a student.

lol, I really have to start reading fics :P

ETA: Actually, I should really read Halfblood Prince first :P

I know :)

Here is the title of the last book! I don't wanna spoil the fun of finding it, so here you go:

Go to JKRowling.com. Click on the eraser on her desk.

1. Click doorway in mirror to see Christmas tree.
2. Click on the top half of the door to get the wreath.
3. Click on the top of the mirror to get the garland.
4. Click on the spider web right next to the door to make them go away.
5. Click the 4th chime in the window and get the key for the door.
6. Drag key to unlock the door.
7. Door opens to show a desk with a package.
8. Click the bow on the package and it will open.
9. Click the inside of the package and a game of Hangman is shown where you can play a game to guess the name of the seventh book.
10. You can keep playing till you get it right and when you do a check mark will appear.

JKR is so great. What a Christmas Present for us! :)

(I was so hyper that night, a Skate moment and the new HP title, all in one day!)

I ship Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny, although Harry/Ginny is hardly ever done well in fanfiction. I like Fred/Angelina too, but there's very little fanfction for that ship and not much in the books either.

I like reading the odd Remus/Lily fanfiction as well though :)

My main ship is Harry/Ginny, I also ship Ron/Hermione a bit too...
