Speculate about what's gonna happen!

Okay, since noone's talking, I thought I'd start...

Where does everyone stand on the supposed decision Kate is going to make in the first 6 episodes? Do you think it will be Sawyer Jose or Rodrigo (:P)?

I think she'll be leaning towards Jose, initially, because she idolizes him and she's upset about the Sana incident (yeah, she's got no right to be mad, but it's not going to make her think Sawyer's ready for a serious relationship), but then something will happen to make her realize Jose doesn't live up to her ideals of him and will never accept who she really is, so she chooses Sawyer at the end of the 6 episodes.

I'm just laughing my ass off with the 'jose' thingy... blessed filter... hahahahahahahaha

anyway, I think that if she REALLY makes her decision within the first six episodes, she'll choose Jose. I don't really know, why, I just have a feeling. Even though she's my favourite character, I've seen Kate starting to deteriorate into a geeky Jose fangirl, and I'm afraid the writers won't change their way so suddenly. they'll take her all the way down. They've done it with Sayid, They've done it with Locke, even though the finale was extremely refreshing, character-wise. All I can see ahead of myself is Kate following the same path.

I don't know Lu...I understand what you're saying, but that really doesn't make sense with the new girl for Jose. I know the writers worship him, but a new triangle with Kate and a new girl? That's just pushing the limit...
Besides, if the TPTB have been paying attention, we won the Tater Tops poll with 50%! I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to let down half the people that voted! AND Sawyer spent the last few episodes crazy jealous of Kack (*giggle*), why would they do that? If they meant to have Kack so soon that would be just as good as killing his character...

that cynical side of me is thinking what I posted previously, but my other side is rooting for a Skatey choice. I don't know, though, I got so disappointed by the finale, and the previous episodes, that I'm afraid of celebrating and feeling bad at the end.

Actually you're right, we should just lay off the spoilers, they only manage to get us more disappointed if things go wrong and less surprised when things actually do go well.
But it's just so hard to not read them :D

I really have no clue what she's going to do. I would hope that she picks Sawyer. But even if she doesn't, I can see scenarios where extentuating circumstances force her hand.

It does seem odd that the writers have shown Sawyer crazy jealous, have had him admit he loves her to Jose (as well as tell Jose he screwed Ana - like that's not going to come back and bite his ass), have him get close to Kate after nearly dying and then push her away with more self destructive behaviour in The Long Con, if it wasn't going anywhere.

Why would they show Sawyer feeling left out and lonely when Jose asked Kate to go on a trek with him? It certainly seemed geared towards making people sympathetic towards his place in the triangle.

I'm trying to be optimistic that while Kate may lean towards Jose, that somehow it will still turn out in favour of Skate.

You can't forget the whole thing where Kate was captured by Zeke. That's the biggest impact, in my opinion.
Now, what I'm gonna say next is NOT just because I'm a die-hard Skater, I just think this is how it's gonna turn out;
Either Skate is going to come true (cross your fingers, guys)
or, Rodrigo's gonna come in, blow Kate out of the water, and she'll fall for him.
Why I think the above; In my opinion, having both Ana-Lucia and Libby die the way they didwas a bit of a cop-out. I mean, come on! I'm not gonna talk about chances, because something tells me the whole die roll system is a little bit skewed on the island, but WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
So, that means, that, in my opinion, the Lost Writers are NOT afraid to cop out once in a while.
From everything I can tell, the Kack and the Skate sides are pretty evenly waited, meaning that it wouldn't be too much for Rodrigo to possibly come and knock Kate off her feet.
Kack, however, is doomed I think. They've obviously died out, and I'm pretty sure Kate's starting to realize the way she's been acting around him - weak, like a crappy little fan girl - and weak doesn't fly with Kate. I hate to pin my theory down to looks, but do, think about the looks Kate kept shooting at Jack at the end of Season two. She's finally figured out what's going on, and she doesn't like it.

Crap, that was long. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Now I've got it into my head that the Other's are going to tell Kate they're going to kill one of the guys and she has to decide which one. Just to see who'll she'll pick. There's got to be and episode's worth of angst in that. And they wouldn't have to tell the guys who she chose, so the relationship angst can continue, but we'll know the triangle's done.

Ahh! That'll do me for a couple of days worth of day dreaming at least, and, when she decides to kill of Jack, us Skaters certainly wouldn't mind them spreading the angst over at least three episodes.
