As a fan fiction author I'm interested in the way other fan fic authors write. So I thought we could all kind of talk about it here...

I guess my writin' is kinda odd compared to what ya'll have 'round here. If you go to my myspace at http://myspace.com/thebigbadwolfsawyer, you can see what I do. I'm kept pretty busy. lol But, it is a lot of fun. I would be nice to write a long story out all at once like it's done here. Maybe one day.

I like to go into detail about the scenery and how the character is feeling as if you were there. My first sentence is usually something suspencful to bring the reader in. I mostly write myserties. I have not written too much fanfic lately; I've been paying a lot more attention to my book.

But another thing I like to do when writing fanfics, is study the character and make sure I have there speech patterns down. Like Charlie is more likely to call someone a bloody git and Sawyer is more likely someone a son of a b*tch.

However, with my 'real' writing, I have the habit of giving everyone the same speech patterns. It's a bit harder when you have to create the character from stratch. For instance, in the movie script I am writing, the three main characters are best friends and outcasts: a goth, a rapper, and a punk rocker. I need to determine what the goth will say in a situation vs. what the punk rocker will say.
