Ok so I've got a few (understatement) of the sabertooth cards and it shows the old style rhino being used as the preheresy one.

One shows death guard being about 3/4 the height of the tank and it looks silly. Another shows worldeaters being as tall as the tank.

My question is, should I use the old style rhino as inspiration and scratchbuild one 'truescale' or do I just use the new one as a template?

personally i would use the new style, the old ones suck. with some pre heresy paint and little touches they should be fine
