Title: Imperial Fists company markings?
Description: I need some information

Sigismund - September 28, 2007 08:46 AM (GMT)
Basicly my upcoming Imperial Fists battle company is going to be a true to fluff project and I intend to put correct squad and company markings on EVERY model...

The only problem is that I don't know what the various company colours are for the Imperial Fists or how they are displayed... There is a brief mention in Flight of the Eisentein to the First Company wearing a black trim on their armour but nothing about the other comapnies. I have checked Insignium Astartes an it mentions nothing about the Imperial Fists apart from their chapter symbol so I am wondering if anybody has a link or some information on how the Fists display their company affiliation.

It does say that they were a normal comapany but it doesn't mention their company markings... I have scoured all of the Horus Heresy books that feature the Imperial Fists and not found anything about the company colours other than the first...

According to the original IA article they had black squad markings like they do now.
Veterans had the black trim and were called "Templars" according to the limited edition story the lightning tower BL just released.

That makes sense since, during the Heresy, Sigismund was captain of the 1st comapany... Where can I get a copy of this story by the way? I hadn't heard of its existence until just now.

"He felt out of place, the marble and green of his wargear ringing a wrong note among the hornet-yellow and black trim of the Imperial Fists" from flight of the eninstein

i know it's not the marking on the shoulder pads that tell of the company, but and old 1998 game call choas gate show the marking that all marines adher to in the codex astartes Which is the mark of an Arrow then of course the terminator's and Command Squad.

That's squad markings, not company.

It may be just as simple as to use variant colours on the fists, keeping a similar line to current Codex:Astartes doctrines.

And Chaos Gate was set in the 41st Millennium.

+++Sorry Torg, I appreciate the sentiment and can see you're only trying to be helpful but it unfortunately a violation of GW IP rules. I've removed the link but don't worry about it.+++
