My god Decent of Angels was dissapointing... It leaves everything horribly unfinished and unless they are going to come back to the Dark Angels I really didn't see the point of spending Ģ6.99 on the book...

Ineed, And it kinda throws it all back in your face after you find out the main character could possibly be a Fallen

I wasn't terribly unimpressed with Descent of Angels. It was nice to see the pre Imperium history of Caliban explored in more detail but it did seem to drag at times.

Now my two thoughts/issues with the book.

It was interesting to see how they drew paralells between the Lion/Luther relationship and the Zarahiel/Neimel(sp) relationship. My thoughts were considering it seemed that the author went to great length to stress the brotherhood between the Lion and Zarahiel, that the Lion sent him back to Caliban with Luthor as to have somone he could trust with Luthor. We have to remember that the Lion was a master strategist, that seems to reinforce his posting of Zarahiel to return to Caliban. But that is just conjecture until the next book in the DA line is published.

The other is an issue in continuity of fluff. My understanding, correct me fluff Gods if I am wrong, is that Librarians were a post Heresy addition to the Astartes. Pre-heresy psykers were distrusted and weeded out by decree of the Emperor and the Astartes operated with out them. Hence the persecution of the Thousand Sons. If that is the case then what is the deal with the Dark Angels having a functional Librarius in the Pre-heresy time frame.

Curious as to what your comments are.

Descent of Angels was a good stand alone book, but it had very little to do with the heresy. I was disappointed, myself. The name of the series is The Horus Heresy, after all. I wish they would stick to the story line.
That said, I would love for them to do a book for each legion.

Actually,It has alot to do with the heresy! It tells the tale of
how the Dark Angels was found and and the beginning of the fall of Luthor! :)

I never got on with Descent of angels I found it boring. Legion is cool though. Can't wait for this abyss one, I play wordbearers.
