I know this is just post-heresy, but what would you recommend for a fallen force of that era? Simply DA, or DA with chaosy bits?

DA in pre-Heresy colours, no real chaosy bits.

Don't forget that their power armour should be black instead of green... All of the Dark Angels had black armour at the time of the Heresy.

And take lots of Mk4 plate!

You can get it from FW as the Red Scorpion upgrade pack whih is probably the easiest way in bulk. Or theres two front bodies on the BT upgrade sprue.

Well theres a bitof flash but easy to get rid of. Plus with resin you can scrap off details without the stree marks of plastic so its a very good material.

Warstore maybe, and buy the Black Templar heads. Only thing is, they're about $2.99 for a pair...
