+++Whilst there are guidelines and suggestions as to what codex you can use to represent your army in the Pre-Heresy settings the following are rules concerning what you can and can't post here on the Age of the Imperium forums.
Please be wary, any thread concidered not board appropriate will be either moved to the appropriate Catagory or Closed by an Admin.
It's not the intention of the Admin team to spoil people's fun but to maintain the intregretity of the board.
Also please note that this is still technically an unofficial Warhammer 40,000 fan site and is restricted to Games Workshop miniatures only.
There are some very nice sci-fi miniatures produced by other companies but this is not the place for them. For any questions concerning what is board appropriate please contact an Admin+++

Pre-Heresy Forums


What Races Can Be Concidered Pre-Heresy?

The Pre-Heresy forums are split into to seperate catagory to make life a little easier for everyone. Obviously some armies are not concidered board specific because they were not around at this time and so can't be posted here at Warhammer 30,000.
The Following armies are concidered Forces of the Imperium and should only be posted in the forums marked Forces of the Imperium.

Astarte Legions
This includes all of the eighteen known Pre-Heresy Space Marine armies.
Modern Chapters and the two missing Legions are not allowed to be posted on the forums.

Legio Astartes
This includes all Pre-Heresy Space Marine armies that are converted to represent the elite custodian forces of the Emperor.

Sisters of Silence
This includes all Pre-Heresy armies that are converted to represent the witch finder order of the Sisters of Silence.

Imperial Army
This includes all Pre-Heresy Imperial Guard armies that are modelled as the Imperial Army.


Pre-Heresy Alien Forces

The following Pre-Heresy armies can be posted in the forums marked Enemies of the Imperium. These forums cover most of the alien races of the game and cover independant empires of Renegade Humans (not Renegade Space Marines).
If you want to forge your own alien/human empire or just create an army of marauding space pirates then these are the Forums for you.

Orks
The Galaxy is littered with the Empires of Ork Warlords and Tyrants. This includes Pre-Heresy Ork armies.

Eldar
The Enigmatic and utterly alien Eldar are millenia old. This includes Pre-Heresy Eldar armies.

Human Renegades
During the Age of Technology mankind settled on countless worlds creating many small independent colonies. Since the Age of strife many have fallen prey to aliens or collapsed altogether. But some have thrived to become Empires to rival the Imperium itself. This includes Pre-Heresy human armies created using one of the following Codexes; Codex Imperial Guard, Codex Eye of Terror - The Lost and the Damned or Codex: Tau.

Dark Eldar
The twisted cousins of the Eldar often refered mistaken for Eldar Pirates. This includes all Pre-Heresy Dark Eldar armies.


The Horus Heresy and The Scouring Era
Not wishing to leave out the dark forces of chaos there is a sub-catagory entitled "The Age of Heresy."
This forum is the only place that Daemons, Cultists and the Chaos Marines/Renegade Marines can be posted.
These forums cover discussion and modelling both sides of the Heresy, traitor and loyalist. So this can include Imperial discussion as well models that you don't think would fit into the Pre-Heresy catagories.


The War Room

Being a fan of the Specialist games there is a seperate sub-catagory at the bottom of the main pages entitled "The War Room" for all discussion or modeling in the Epic, AI or Battle Fleet Gothic game settings.
