I tried 2 styles of black for the 1st company reavers
The first is chaos black with codex grey extreme hightlights
The second is extremely dark grey with darker than codex grey highlights a little more blended
They are not cleaned up yet but which style looks better?

I would stick with "style 1".
If you added "Space Wolf Grey" to the corners I think it would be really cool.
( just an idea, has worked well for me)

i disagree, yes im difficult, i think the second is best - the highlights are more subtle.

I like the look of that scheme. That model looks great and the jump pack is awesome! Can't wait to see more of your work! Is there any information you could give me on the 1st company? looks interesting.

The first company Luna Wolves assault troops are called the Catulan Reavers.
(First in Last out)
They are the elite fast shock troops and thier armor is stated as black with white trim in Horus Rising.
The Horus Heresy novels are where I get most of my ideas for the Luna Wolves.
I believe all Luna first company are black with white trim
The capt of the Catulan Reavers is Kalus Ekaddon
The capt of the Justerian is Falkus Kibre(the Widowmaker)

you know it 5 models plus sgt.
Plus I'm looking at my bits box and I have more bits than I need for the Lunas so I may just start a second Legion I'm thinking Alpha as they arent done too much and I love the fluff behind them.
Especially since they never went running to the Eye, and always looked to battle other legions
