Evey Parnell - March 16, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
Name: Evey Marie Parnell
Nicknames: Eve or Ee
Family:
Age:24
Gender: Female

Species: Human
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual

Avatar: Rachel Bilson

Appearance: Evey at first glance looks like a meager little girl, by the size of her frame. She stands roughly around 5’6 and she weighs 125. Her body is shortly built and not very big, which most would call unhealthy and not proper. Her small built is mostly legs considering her torso isn’t very long nor is her neck. Her skin color is a very pale white and could be considered ghostly white if you didn’t know she was a normal human. Every inch of her body is completely clean of tattoos or other markings of that nature. There are two piercing in each of her ears that are located on the earlobes, and other than that you will not find any other piercing on her body. However, there is a cut on her neck on the right side that starts at the collar bone and comes half way down. There is no way of hiding this scar on her body. The average persons arm span equals the height of your body, but Evey swears that the myth is wrong when it comes to her frame. The girl swears her arms are to short and her legs are to long for her body.
If you were to come up and shake Evey’s hand you would feel that her skin is milky soft. This is hard to believe considering her skin is white almost like she is malnutrition, but if you take a good look at her you will see she is completely healthy. Evey loves to run so her legs are naturally a little thick around the thigh and calf area because of the muscles she gained. The running also helped in making her skinny (side note: she doesn’t run during the day which is why her skin is so white). If you were to look at the back of her left wrist you will see a birthmark that resembles a cat’s paw. The mother of the girl had the same birthmark on her wrist as well. Evey’s feet were an average size 5 and not very abnormal in the slightest except she always thought the big toe on her left was bigger than it should be.
Her hair is average length meaning it hangs just below her shoulder blades helping her keep warm in the winter. Guys also are drawn to long hair, at least in her mind they are. Her hair is soft to the touch even if it looks rather fused from the moisture in the air. The softness of the hair isn’t expected on first glance because it’s rather thick making it impossible to keep curled. It leaves her with only option to keep it in a pony tail or straight and behind her back. Her hair is a deep brown color which she got from her mother naturally. Evey doesn’t go outside much during the day so the sun doesn’t have time to lighten her hair color like most people who love the outdoors. Her face is more of an oval shape making her face seem narrow if she were to cut her hair really short. She swears the oval shape of her face makes her cheeks narrow and drawn in. They are not so much concaved looking but slanted as if they are pointing towards the top of her nose and upper lip.
Evey’s eyes are a small oval shape, which makes it hard to see the color of her eyes. If you did get to see them, they are dark brown honey brown eyes resemble the color of her hair. Evey’s eyes are just as closed off as she is making it impossible to read what she is thinking. She also thinks they are rather narrow and to close to her nose, and with the given statement that there is one of your own eyeballs length between each eye (and between your hairline and eye).
The nose is what can either make someone think you are ugly or not, and to Evey she thinks her nose is a huge honker. People have told her to stop worrying about her nose because it looks small and normal. Only to her she wants surgery to make it smaller to match her frame. Lips can be very seductive on a person and her lips are just the right type. They are plum and a beautiful shade of red, which stand out in comparison against her white milking skin.
Evey wasn’t allowed much in terms of attire so basically she had three pairs of blue jeans and a several shirts. She constantly mixed and matched so it seemed like she had a new outfit everyday. Her pants are a little loose considering the constant wear she put on them, and one of her favorite pairs has a hole in not only the knee but just below her butt. The holes aren’t to revealing of anything but her legs, which was a plus to her because it meant she could still wear them. Her shirts however consisted of one white shirt, one blue one, and two band shirts. She had never heard of bands such as ACDC and Sister Hazel (Which were the bands on her other two shirts). When you hear her speak she has a slight southern drawl, which is due in part by living in Texas all her life. Her accent gets worse whenever she is nervous. This is how her mother knew when to attack her, because it meant she had been a bad girl. We all know bad girls needed to be punished.

Personality: Evey didn’t have the normal childhood one would have hoped for when they were growing up. The demons of her past molded the way she acts around situations that force her to react. She stays quiet and to herself leaving little room to interact with other people, and living in the city this trait came in handy. She is not a really angry person or mad against the world just another humble girl who is trying to make her way in the world. If you were to walk past her she’d give a smile and lower her head so she didn’t have to say another word to you. This is her way of not having to converse with others, because if you don’t look at them they don’t talk to you. Evey doesn’t really get upset over things, because in her past she was always considered stupid and worthless. The fact that she thinks is one of the reasons she is so quiet around others. She doesn’t want to be considered stupid in public, just stupid at home around mom and dad.
Evey is very true to her word when she says she will do something she will do it. This is why she is so loyal to all her friends, well the ones she was able to make in school. Her honesty and naive demeanor can sometimes lead to others taking advantage of her, but she doesn’t mind because she believes there is a reason for everything. Let’s not forget the fact that in her mind she is always in the wrong. One thing her parents did instill in her was being polite to others no matter the predicament (even if they are being completely brutal to you, which is why she has her scar.) Evey has never had any reason to be overly excited about anything in her life, which prevents her to know how to laugh and have a good time. We can’t think she has never laughed or smiled she has but she can probably count the number of times she’s laughed on one hand.
In her child she had been taught not to be very confrontational because she was wrong so what’s the point of fighting?
You will never see her raising her voice to anyone or in the middle of the fight. She politely agrees to what you have to say and smiles as she walks away. This is one reason why people take advantage of her, because she will be submissive to anyone if they tried something with her. The reason for her behavior is her parents and how they raised her, because they instilled in her head that she needed to be punished for everything. Evey had to act timid around her parents, because acting timid meant you got to live another day. Her mother didn’t take into consideration that the way she treated her daughter would cause her such emotional and physical pain. Even now Evey is still brainwashed to be the way she is, because she isn’t worthy enough to any sort of privilege. She will always remain loyal to her parents no matter how much they have and will do to her. Deep down her loyality was created by her will to survive, because if she did as she was told and stood by her mother side, then she would have food and live.
The life her parents provided her never gave her much to be happy about, but she wasn’t depressed at all considering the life she led. She learned at a young age that the little things in life are what made a day great. This is what she fed off to help her through everyday and her life. Little things like her old neighbor who would leave her bits of clothing hidden behind the house where she took the trash out. These things made her appreciate everything and everyone no matter how small or big.

Powers:

Hobbies: Running is a big hobby for Evey, because it’s the one time that no one bothers her or criticizes her. This form of exercises lets her use her vivid imagination and transform her into a world that isn’t what she is in now. One bonus of running her parents are both to lazy to go with her. It gives her, her freedom she so longs for, but is completely to chicken to grab a hold of and leave. There aren’t many hobbies that can creep down into your heart and make you feel so alive you can conquer the world, but this hobby does that for her. Even if she knows once her route takes her back home it will all be gone. She at least for one moment in time had freedom and the feeling of power.

Occupation: She is not currently employed because she is a live in maid for her parents. They refuse to let her leave the house unless it’s for 30 minutess for a run around the neighborhood. Evey is to do everything her mother cooks up whenever she wants her too. There have been times when her mother would wake her up three in the morning to clean bed sheets in the spare bedroom for the hell of it. However, her dream is to one day be a painter or a runner in the Olympics.

Extra:

Parents:
Tatum (Masterson) Parnell: Tatum grew up in a small town in Cadiz, Ky, where she lived all her life till she met her husband Earl Parnell. Tatum was an average country girl who worked the farm with her father. The day Tatum met Earl, her father refused to let her date him. He said Earl was no good and would take her nowhere… and nowhere fast. Tatum wouldn’t hear anything of it because she was a stubborn hard headed mule. She snuck out at night to meet up with Earl and go to the local bars and farms. One night Tatum and Earl went too far in their relationship to fast and she wound up pregnant. Tatum’s father kicked her out of the house and told her to never come back. She was a disgrace to the family and that he never wanted to see her again. This made her hate her unborn children, which is why she tried to have a miscarriage. Earl found out about this and refused her to kill their creation no matter how mad she was at her father. Tatum had given birth to twins 9 months later.
Earl Parnell: Earl lived a similar life to Tatum only he was first raised in the cities of California first. His parents got tired of the city life when he was age five and moved to Cadiz, Ky. He doesn’t remember much of the city life only the country. The day he ran into Tatum Masterson he knew his life would forever change, because this would be the woman he spent his life with. He repeatedly forced Tatum to sneak out and visit him so they could be together, and whether she knows it or not he purposely got her pregnant. This would prevent her old man from keeping her away from him. Earl is a arrogant asshole who treats Tatum horridly but she is to desperate for him to leave, which is why she treats Evey like dirt. It’s a never ending cycle for the whole family.
Both:Neither has a job, because why work when welfare give you money? Occasionally Earl goes and works at the local factories for some extra spare cash, but that’s it. Tatum just sits around the house spending what money they have on alcohol.

Siblings:Evey has no siblings just a dead twin sister who never made it to birth. When their mother was pregnant with them she tried to kill her and her sister. Only thing is their father Earl caught their mother just in time to save the life of Evey leaving her twin sister dead in the womb. This is another reason why her mother and father treats her like dirt, because they blame Evey for the death of their other daughter’s death.

History:
On the day of August 20th there was a girl by the name of Evey Marie Parnell born into a world that would someday become her doom. In the big state of Texas she was born in at a hospital or the only hospital that would take couples without insurance. She was a small 5 lb baby with a very loud squeal when they pinched her feet. Her parents where, well her mother was crying tears of joy most would assume. This was not the case for Tatum, because deep down she despised the child. She thought that Earl would love the child more than he loved her. Only child Tatum loved was the dead one and she made Evey pay for the death of the child. Evey grew up in Amarillo, Tx with her two parents away from any family on her mother and fathers side. On the outside she looked like she had the picture perfect dream of the average American family. This was true up until she learned to walk on her own two feet.
She was not allowed to roam around and test things out as a baby to learn no’s and yes’s. Everything she did was a no and she paid for it dearly and sometimes it was almost with her life. When she learned to talk her first word was apple, and her father thought that was adorable. This made her mother mad because she was supposed to have said ‘Mommy’. Evey rarely attended pre-school, because mainly her parents couldn’t afford it so they just kept her at home and raised her. When it came time for her to go to school they would send her off with a sandwich if she was lucky, but it was mainly a bag of stale chips. She didn’t’ understand why the other kids had big lunches, and she had so little. Evey knew better than to ask her mother about it though. She attended school everyday with her classmates advancing year after year.
Evey made sure she never got into trouble because one little thing was grounds for a beating and her beatings were getting worse as she got older. On the day she was required to go to school for her first day of fifth grade her parents withdrew her from school They said that the child is to be home schooled from now on. Kids at school were teaching her things she shouldn’t know and that she refuses to stay out of trouble. The girl thought that she’d have daily lectures with her mother, but that’s what she gets for thinking. Evey was to do chores all day, even chores that most fifth graders couldn’t accomplish. She did this for a couple of years, but she longed to get out of the house and go to school. After a few years have passed, Evey took it upon herself to wait till her parents were asleep to sneak around and try to read different magazines. However, she was to young to try and decipher the words correctly, so she in returned grabbed their old dictionary and started there. Day by day she’d read a few more pages trying to pronounce each word, and some words she got but others she thought were, where actually wrong.
One night an old man by the name of Frank Morris caught her sneaking out of her house to get more books. He asked her where she was going and she quickly told him the truth, because she had no backbone to lie nor was she able too. The old man chuckled at her thinking she had to be the cutest thing ever in the world. He took her over to his house and her being completely naive didn’t question if he was nice or not. After a few encounters with the man she finally opened up to him and confessed what she goes through everyday. The man was shocked to find this out, and was going to put a stop to it immediately. Evey begged him not too, because then she’d never learn how to read. So, he abided by her wishes and a few months later he had her reading on a not a fifth grade level but 8th grade level. Evey is an extremely smart young lady no matter what her parents say. She can pick up on things fast and can memorize anything you give her.
After three years of her sneaking her mother had caught on to her little scheme, and she put a stop to it immediately. Tatum grabbed Evey by the hair and pressed the knife against her neck in attempts to slit her throat when her dad walked in catching her in the act. The knife only grazed half her neck. Tatum left the girl to bleed to death only her father would have none of that. A month later that old mans house mysteriously burned down, and Evey knows who burned it down. Evey would never see Frank again, but she knew he’d live on in her heart. Frank could never be replaced for he was her first friend that she had ever had, and she loved him with all her heart (even if most would she wouldn’t know how to love). Her mother got rid of any joy in her life, so she never really know what happiness was. Her only outlet was sneaking around to read when she could.
As she grew older she her chores of cleaning the house became more demanding of her, which she didn’t mind because it passed the hours away. She wasn’t allowed to leave the house period no matter what. One day Evey begged to run around the block, and surprisingly her mother let her do it. Her mother said it would make her do her chores faster so she allowed it. After a few months she realized as she was getting faster at running she could run to the library and read some books fast, and then run home. This was true for a lot of things considering how big their block was. This was her life…. She was/is a slave to her own home. Her only outlet was running and then she’d go back home to be a prisoner again. She didn’t have the chance to have any friends, and the once chance she did, she realized she was late and ran home.
On the day of July 2 at the age 23 Evey took it upon herself to leave. The scared chicken actually left her home. She didn’t have much to pack so it’s not like her parents would notice things missing at all. In the night of July 2nd she gathered her belongings in the small box, and snuck down stairs to where her mother kept her secret stash of money snuck out the basement window. Evey ran from town to town making sure to put a lot of distance between her and her parents. All she had was the thousand dollars she stole from her parents stash and the box of clothing and the single book she had.
She ran for four months until she landed in a town called Roswell…. It wasn’t like the other town she had visited before. There was something different about this town but she didn’t mind at all. What could be worse than living at home where nothing you did was right, and your appearance is nothing but repulsive?
She found a small little shack that stood out by the town where she stored her box and money in hopes no one would find her there. Evey would come out at night to check the town out occasionally looking at it from the outskirts until she got used to it. She started coming out during the day and acted like a passerby but how long can you pretend to be a passerby? Someone is bound to find her in the old shack in the outskirts of town. That however.. was the least of her concerns at the moment. She needed to find a job, because her money would soon run out. Evey would never give up because she knew Frank was with her and he’d be there for her.
