Nicknames: Certain people call her Lila, but Lilac normally goes by her first name.

Age: Nineteen
Gender: Female
Species: Wind Elemental

Avatar: Danielle Panabaker
Appearance: Lilac is pretty, but she is not an outstandingly beautiful individual. Lilac’s face is oval shaped, as her face is rounded in her cheeks but still long and thin in actual construction. The shape of her face and the formation of the rest of her features give Lilac a soft, delicate look. Her chin looks a bit ill-defined sometimes, and is about average sized. Her chin is just rather rounded, just like the rest of her facial features. Her cheeks are round in shape, and they are most noticeable when she smiles. Normally, they have a splotch of natural color on the apples of her cheeks. Lilac’s nose is perhaps the most noticeable feature on her face, though. The bridge of Lilac’s nose is thin and sharp, but it tapers large as she goes down her face. Her nose is fairly long, for a nose, and it is often considered “large.” In reality, her nose is really not huge, but it is slightly hooked at the tip. Lilac is rather unfound of her nose, but she finds she cares little about it in reality.
Lilac’s eyes are a deep brown color, and the shape of them is often considered the most idealistic part of her face. Her eyes are a perfect, almond form, and they form a slight “crescent” shape when Lilac smiles. She often adorns her well-shaped eyes with darker liners, to highlight the form of her eyes. Lilac might like dark liners, but she never wears black liners, as she dislikes the harsh color on her soft face.
Lilac’s lips are quite large, and when they are set in a neutral position, they look plumped and pouty. When Lilac smiles, her lips actually look thinner. She has an amazingly affective pout, but she is a girl much more suited for smiling. Still, her chin quivering and lip plumping is a useful trick for the girl.
Lilac’s hair is a lighter brown color than her eyes, for sure. Her hair sometimes, usually when it is exposed with sunlight, gains enough blonde highlights to look honey-colored, but normally, Lilac’s locks are chestnut in tone. Her hair has soft waves, and sometimes, the waves even pull into loose curls. Lilac sometimes pulls her hair back into loose buns and ponytails. When her hair is down, it falls to her mid-back. Her hair falls past her navel when it is wet and the waves and curls relax.
Lilac is tall and thin. She stands a full five feet and nine inches, to be exact, and weighs around one hundred and twenty-five pounds. She seems to lack some of the usual curves on a female body, as her bust size is relatively flat, although not entirely flat, and her hips are also a bit thin. Lilac is doomed to be forever in A-cups, but she still manages to make the look work for her. She has little fat on her thin frame. Lilac dresses to her thin frame, though, and she normally looks good. How she dresses is quite important to her.
Lilac tries to dress herself in a fashionable and trendy manner. She rather likes jeans, and she is often found in them. The girl loves to wear purple and pink shades. She loves tailored looks, and she is quite fond of fitted jackets to wear with her tank-top and tight jeans. Of course, jackets are rather impractical to wear in the heat and humidity of Georgia, so since she has been back, Lilac has started to show off her thin frame in tighter tanks and shirts.
Personality: Despite having just turned twenty years of age, Lilac acts younger most of the time. She has a naivety and innocence to her personality that most people find child-like and sweet. Still, Lilac is not quite as innocent as she seems to be, but her sheltered life has made her a bit immature and naive. Lilac is quite intelligent, but she lacks some common sense. She often makes slightly random and unconnected comments when she speaks. The habit adds to her child-like air. Sometimes Lilac is mistaken for not being very intelligent, though. She is smart, but she is not always socially intelligent. Social innuendos that most people pick up on easily slip by Lilac with ease. She usually is the one not to ‘get’ jokes right away, and most things have to be explained to her step by step. Still, when it comes to book smarts, Lilac quite intelligent.
Lilac is spacey to a point that sometimes holding conversations with her can be difficult. People find her slightly annoying, in fact, because she has trouble keeping strains of coherent thoughts in line. Her conversations, just like her thoughts, move in random, non-linier, crazy patterns that leap and jump around to new ideas and topics. Still, some find it to be very cute. She certainly has an alluring charm about her.
Lilac hates conflict. She dislikes watching people fight, and she is quick to act as a peacemaker. She is always trying to learn why people are upset and what she can do to make the situation better. Lilac feels she is obligated to help people who need help. She takes on other’s problems quickly and without much questioning. Lilac always is willing to listen to other’s problems and she usually offers wonderful insight, too. Lilac is very kind and caring, but she can also be a bit full of herself. Lilac believes she is ordained to help the people around her, and she likes to point out her accomplishments. Because of her dislike of conflict, Lilac wants to make peace with the other families. She does not really understand the root of the conflict, and the whole conflict looks petty to her. Lilac wants to prove to her family that she can be civil to the members of the other families without the world coming to an end. She feels the need to make peace--like she normally does feel.
The woman is cute and carefree, and she certainly has charm to her personality. Lilac has enough empathy and compassion to cause people to give her notice. Most of the time, Lilac can make almost everyone like her, as, despite her spacey-ness, is quite hard to dislike. A lot of the times, people become quite sick of her personality, as her compassion for people, and her need to play peacemaker, is a bit impractical in real life situations.
Although she would never admit the trait, Lilac can hold resentment for a long time. Lilac is hard to cross, but when she does start to hate someone, Lilac is not quick to forget. She rarely allows people to think she is angry, and instead of being outwards about her hate, she acts passive aggressively to get her way. Lilac can be a tad manipulative if she needs to be. Lilac is angered by many things, as are most people, but she normally does not outwardly express her anger. Lilac is angered by people initiating conflict and fighting. She is also angered by people who do not listen to the things she says, people who betray her, and people with habits she finds particularly annoying. Still, she rarely becomes angry enough to do anything to the person angering her, unless that person drives her to a point of abnormally potent anger. Oh, and Lilac is quite angry when people drag her forcefully back to small towns instead of allowing her to go to college somewhere interesting.
Powers:
Wind Control—Lilac has the power to control the force, power, and direction of the wind. She can call simple breezes, or, at least in theory, gale-force winds. Lilac’s ability is controlled mainly through sounds, and Lilac tends to like to whistle her winds into cooperation. The attributes of the wind depends on Lilac the pitch and duration of Lilac’s whistling. Lilac seems to understand what sounds she needs to make to force the wind to do her bidding. The more powerful the winds, the more energy Lilac has to use. Lilac seems to have a certain amount of energy she can use for her powers. When she expends the limit, she becomes sick and weak. Lilac can create small breezes or slightly alter wind directions many, many times in one day without feeling a thing, but calling or controlling larger winds cause her to lose energy quickly. She rarely tries using her powers in large quantities, so she rarely feels the affects of her power over-exertion.
Air Purification—Lilac can separate impurities from pure air. She does so without thinking about it, so all the air the Lilac breathes is completely fresh and pure. The ability does little else for her than that, though. The air purification is always occurring, and it seems not to cause Lilac any weakness or energy-drain.

History: David Ventana and Meredith Dawson met by chance in a bar located in Atlanta. David was in college at Georgia State University, located in Atlanta, as was Meredith. Meredith and David started to see each other, and they dated for two years. The relationship was quite on and off, but by the time David ended school, they were certain they wanted to be together. Unfortunately, David had to return to Roswell, and Meredith was still attending school. The couple decided to commute back and forth between Roswell and Atlanta.
At the stage in their relationship where the couple had to commute, Meredith found out she was pregnant. The pregnancy was completely unplanned, and so, David felt quite obligated to marry Meredith. The couple did marry, and on their wedding night, David revealed the Ventana family secret to his new wife. Meredith was not happy with the news, but she resolved herself to supporting her husband. Meredith was still in school, though, so Lilac was born in Atlanta.
When Lilac was born, she lived with her father for a few years, but Meredith wanted, badly, to send her child to school in a city. Lilac spent the first six years of school in Atlanta, but she spent weekends with her father in Roswell. Lilac learned to hate her weekends in Roswell, as she found them boring and uninteresting.
Going into sixth grade, Meredith decided to send Lilac to boarding school in Massachusetts, close to Boston. David only agreed because Meredith promised to move back in with him with Lilac gone. David, though, told both Lilac and Meredith that if the child started to show signs of having the Ventana gift, then she had to return to Roswell.
Lilac did not want to ever have to return to Roswell from her rather expensive and prestigious boarding school. Luckily for Lilac, her powers manifested fairly late. She was sixteen and already a sophomore in high school when she learned she could control wind patterns. Lilac did not tell a soul. Her powers were easy enough to keep to herself, as they were only triggered by certain commands.
When Lilac graduated high school, she had planned to go to college far off of the East Coast. She wanted to attend school in California or even Europe. The idea of using her required years of French was quite tempting, but, Lilac ruined her chances of getting away. She told her mother about her powers. Meredith Dawson felt obligated to tell her husband, and David Ventana was furious. The promise Lilac had made to him when she first was allowed to attend boarding school had been broken, and she had kept her secret for two, full years. Obviously, David thought, Lilac did not understand the seriousness of the curse and its ramifications.
He barred her from leaving Georgia to go to college. He was perfectly willing to allow her to attend college in Atlanta, but no where else. In an uncharacteristic show of stubbornness and resentment, Lilac refused. David said she must stay in Roswell, and so, Lilac is currently staying in the town she never really knew. She is—very, very unhappy about the change in her life.
