How To Make Patterns:

Grid Pattern:

1.Open a new document 5x5px, transparent background.
2.Zoom all the way in.
3.now draw this pattern using the pencil tool(1px).

4.Now go to Edit>Define Pattern.(name the pattern Grid)
5.and your finished
EXAMPLE:

(the layer that i filled with the grid pattern.I changed the blending mode to overlay)

Scan Lines:

1.Open a new document 1x2px, transparent background.
2.zoom in completely
3.now make one dot with the pencil tool at the top.(1px)

4.Now go to Edit>Define Pattern.(name the pattern Scan Lines)
5.and your finished
EXAMPLE:

Diagonal Scan lines:

1.open a new document 5x5px, transparent background.
2.zoom in completely
3.Draw this pattern using the pencil tool(1px).

4.Now go to Edit>Define Pattern.(name the pattern Diagonal Scan Lines)
5.and your finished
EXAMPLE:

Iverse Grid:

1.Open a new document 5x5px, transparent background
2.zoom in completely
3.Now make this pattern with th pencil tool.(1px)

5.and your finished
EXAMPLE:

Dots:

1.open a new document, 5x5, transparent background.
2.Zoom in completely
3.Now make this pattern with the pencil tool.(1px)

5.Your Finished

Diamonds:

1.open a new document, 5x5, transparent background.
2.Zoom in completely
3.Now make this pattern with the pencil tool.(1px)

How do you add the patterns to your sig?

use the marque tool, go over the area you want the pettern to be, then left click and go to fill. make sure you have the top setting set to pattern. then choose the pattern u wanted
