Rose Effect:

Im going to show you how to make this spoofy rose effext.


1.Open up a new document 640x480

2. Get out your gradient tool and do a gradient like i have done below.


3.Now go to Filter>Distort>Wave
Settings:

should look something like this:


4.Now go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates.
Settings:
Rectangular to polar.


5.Now go to Filter>Distort>Twirl
Settings:
Angle:276*
Should look like this:


6.Go to Layer>Duplicate Layer

7.Edit>Tranform>Flip Horizontal

8.Change the blending mode to Lighten and then merge the two layers together
should look like this:



9.Go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation
Settings:
Hue=0
saturation=70
Lightness=0

10.Should Look like this:
