BLAST EFFECT FOLLOW UP:

ok so what you have now is this.

but you want something like this.

ok im going to show you how to do it.

1.First you must DUPLICATE the layer of your image.
You can either do this on the layers palette by right clicking the layer,then selecting duplicate layer.

Or you can go to Layer>Duplicate Layer.

2.Now we want to add some TWIRL to the duplicated layer...go to Filter>Distort>Twirl.
Settings at: 215 degrees.
(should look like this)

3.Now to give the twirl that tranperant look we want to go to the layers palette and set the twirled layers BLENDING MODE to LIGHTEN.

4.Now Duplicate that layer and go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 180*
(should look like this)

5.now repeat steps 1-5.But instead of using the TWIRL SETTINGS of 256* use -256*.
(should look like this)

6.Now to give the background some shape we want to duplicate the very first layer.(the one without any twirl)
now got to Filter>Distort>Wave
use these settings:

You can hit the randomize button a few times and it will rondomly change the shape of thw wave.try it out.
Then set the BLENDING MODE to lighten.

Now DUPLICATE the waved layer and go to Edit>Tranfrom>Rotate 180*.
Now your Final image should look like this.(I just added color to mine).Its not going to look exacttly the same but it shouldnt look drastcaly different then this.
