I was just wondering what you guys think about smoking do you think it is out of hand and getting way too much attention. Or is it somthing that bothers you? Do you think it is fair that the goverment is trying to make a no public smoking law?

Smoking kills, that explains it all. I support the public ban. I shouldn't have to breathe in other people's smoke whilst I'm minding my own business.

I hate smoking, smoking is a good way to get lung cancer and possibly a heart disease. They should outlaw somoking.

The fact is that smoking is not illegal and at least, in the U.S., isn't likely to become illegal anytime soon. The government is perfectly within their rights to ban smoking at government buildings. Restaurants are perfectly within their rights to ban smoking within their establishments. The government should not have a say about Restaurants, imo, though. A lot of restaurants would go bankrupt if smoking weren't allowed. Also, I think it's absurd to try to ban smoking on the street. In an enclosed area, you can't escape the secondhand smoke...outside, well, it's outside...the sky is huge. Think about it, the amount of smog and other nasty chemicals is more of a risk to you outside than secondhand smoke.

Well....yeah, but at least you don't smell those other chemicals. Cigarette smoke can make you choke.

I live in a small town with 2 paper mills...trust me, you can smell those chemicals.

Who knows what you'll get from it. It depends on the chemicals and how much of it you're breathing. However, you aren't likely to get lung cancer from standing outside next to a smoker either.

well, smoking is kinda over rated. when u watch sum 1 smoking its like watching 2 gay cowboys eating pudding :implode: . sorry

If I could smoke (allergic) I would. I think smoking is very cool. And second hand smoke smells great.

But all of that stuff about second hand smoke causing cancer is pure propanga bullcrap. How do I know? Well, I am allergic to smoke. To inhale smoke would instantly inflame my lungs and probably ship me to a hospital. But you know what I can do?

I can sit in the smoking section, I can sit in a car with someone smoking, I can stand next to a person smoking. I can smell the smoke, the odor. But I know for a fact I'm not inhaling anything because I'm still able to stand.

Public smoking shouldn't be banned and it should stay legal (just like all drugs should be legal in my opinion, thouhg I don't do any of them).

Man would I love to watch that!

Ohh why would second hand smoke be propaganda from the goverment they get taxes they don't care. If they found a way to tax marijuana it would be llegal. But still I think that smoking ban is a bunch of crap. If this country is so free were is my freedom.

Aaah but we are only free to a certain extant. We are free but bound down by rules. I say let smokers kill themselves but stay away from me when they do it. Whatever I really dont care...
