MAn i dont see why anime is so popular. Everyone who likes it at my school are geeks (ANIME NERDS). all it is, is cartoons from japan. as if we allready dont have enought crappy :ass: shows :twisted:

Ordinary non-Japan cartoons we have are crap compared to Anime. Oh sure, The Simpsons, Freakazoid, great stuff. But at least Anime actually has a plot. Over here, the plots only usually last for 1 episode, but Anime have a series, making it more worthwhile.

And what exactly is wrong with being a geek or a nerd? I'm very proud of my geek status. You'd be surprised how fun, crazy, insane, and perverted geeks are. We're a lot more fun that jocks and cheerleaders...that's for sure.

Just because you happen to like Anime doesn't make you a nerd, at all. Actually, it means that you enjoy the culture of it, and you wanna learn more about it. Which is what happenes once you progress more on watching the Anime. Anime isn't just some stupid set of shows that come on T.V. They show culture, honeslty. Mostly the Japanese Culture. It represents what they are, and stand for. I happen to love Anime, I'd watch it over the Simpsons anyday.

But some people would say that in itself makes you a nerd. Interest in culture and learning has always been a nerd quality. Mindlessness doesn't have anything to do with nerdiness...the exact opposite is true, actually.
