Alright guys this tutorial is on how to make a custom spray for CS 1.6. Ok, the key thing here is the image must be a resolution divisible by 16 and less than 16 KB. If it doesn’t fit these requirements the spray will not work. The image will show up a lot bigger in CS than it actually is. Meaning, it won’t look as clear either.
Step One) Open up Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or whatever you use, and make a new image divisible by 16px (both sides). Don’t make it too big because than it will be more than 16 KB. Examples: 16x16, 64x64, 128x64.
Step Two) Start making your image however you want. I’m not here to tell you how your spray should look just how to install it.

Here’s mine I just did anything.

Step Three) Once you have made your image, save it as bmp, jpg, gif, really doesn’t matter. Make sure it is less than 16 KB. Ok, here is the tricky part. You have to download a program called Wally. Here is the link you might have to wait a few minutes because the server will be busy.
http://www.3ddownloads.com/telefragged/wally/WallySetup.exe If that link doesn’t work try looking for the download here.
http://www.telefragged.com/wally/Step Four) Once you’ve installed Wally open it up. File>New. Don’t put anything in the name section. In the type section click the scroll arrow and select “Half-Life Package [wad3] (.wad)”.
Step Five) Click OK. Find the image wherever you saved it and drag & drop it to the beige part of the Wally window.

Step Six) Double click your image in Wally. In the standard toolbar click on Colors>Edit Palette. Click on the white square all the way at the bottom right. Leave the index and blue values the same but change the red and green to 0. This should now make blue color. Click OK. (Some white areas may turn that color just use pencil and dot over it.)

Step Seven) Click File>Save as. Type the file name “tempdecal” and remember where you are saving it.
Step Eight) Now, go to where you saved the tempdecal file. Copy and paste (or drag & drop) the file to your cstrike folder. For some people it is C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\"account-name"\counter-strike\cstrike. Since I bought CZ which came with steam, for me it is C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\account-name\counter-strike\cstrike. If you still cant find it I recommend searching your hard drive for it.
Step Nine) It will ask you if you want to overwrite the current tempdecal and click yes. Make the tempdecal that you made read-only. (Right click>properties>check the box that says read-only.) In that same cstrike folder there is another folder called “logos”. Delete everything that is in that folder. If you don’t, the spray won’t work.
Step Ten) That’s it. You’re done! If your spray doesn’t work on CS make sure that the file is less than 16 KB. If it is and still doesn’t work, Try making it less than 15 KB. Sometimes it works as 15 and sometimes it doesn’t.
