This is a tutorial on how to make a basic signature:

First download yourself some grunge brushes from deviantART

Once you have downloaded go to C:/>Program Files> Adobe> Photoshop> Presets>Brushes[i/]

That installs the brushes

Open up photoshop and make a new document 400x100 (white)

Take your brushes that you have downloaded and make a background like this:

Once you have done that, take a picture, I chose this one

Cut out the picture using the extract feature ([i]Filter>Extract
) and fix it onto your background.

Then press Ctrl + U and click the colorize box and enter in the following

Hue:65
Saturation:28
Lightness:-17

You should have something like this:

Finally take your text tool and add in some text, you should now have something like this

Now go to Bleding Options (Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options) and add on: Drop Shadow, Outer Glow and Stroke

Now click on gradient overlay, and click on the gradient bar, and pick the default bronze (shown below)

Click OK

Go to your layers pallete, which you can find on the bottom right hand corner and select your background

With that selected go to Edit>Stroke and have these settings

That is you finished, unless you want to muddle around a little more and see what you come up with
