Title: Lesson 1
Description: Getting to Know Each Other
Madeline P. Mitchell - February 9, 2007 10:15 AM (GMT)

You walk in and see Professor Mitchell standing in the middle of the room. She motions to the chairs against the wall and sit, waiting for her to speak...
Hello class, my name is Professor Mitchell, Madeline said, once her class was in order.
For the first lesson, I just want to spend the time getting to know each other. We'll start with introductions. I'll go first.
My name is Madeline Mitchell and I am the Deputy Headmistress' twin sister. If you do not wish to get confused by with another Professor Mitchell, you may refer to me as Professor Maddie, I won't mind.
Now, who's next?
James Warren - February 9, 2007 11:36 AM (GMT)
I smile as I think, "Ooh, Professor Maddie already seems nice," and I decide to raise my hand. "I'll go first," I say to the Professor, "my name is James. James Warren. As you can tell from my surname, I'm a descendant of the Warren line of witches, my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother being the infamous Melinda Warren. My powers were unbound by my parents last year and I've been totally interested in magic since I learned about it. I spend most of my time studying all there is to know about the craft and I pretty much know the basics of potion-making and spell casting." I look around at my other classmates while I continue, "My powers, of-course, consist of molecular abilities; my currently only active power is Temporal Stasis, which means I can literally freeze time." I look back at Professor Maddie, "Thanks, Professor Maddie." I nod to signal the next student's mini-biography.
Madeline P. Mitchell - February 9, 2007 12:58 PM (GMT)
Hello James, and welcome to my class, Professor Maddie said. Anyone else?
Parker J. Halliwell - February 9, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Do I really have to introduce myself? Parker asked his cousin. Fine, whatever. My name is Parker James Halliwell. I'm the youngest in my family. My mom was Piper Halliwell, my sisters are Serenity and Elke Halliwell. My mom was against binding powers, so I grew into mine naturally. So far, all I can do is freeze things, unlike my elder siblings. Is that good enough?
Madeline P. Mitchell - February 9, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
Hey Parker, haven't seen you in awhile, Madeline said to her cousin. Welcome to my class. Now, tell me about the first time you remember using your powers. I remember that Madison and I were playing with our dolls. She took mine and I yelled at her to give it back. She threw it at me and I froze it in mid-air.
Parker J. Halliwell - February 9, 2007 01:29 PM (GMT)
Ha ha! That's kind of funny! He said laughing. I remember the first time I used my powers were when one of my friends jumped off the jungle gym and tried to land on me. I threw my hands up because I was afraid they were going to land on me--and they froze. So I moved and the unfroze and landed on the ground. I think they broke their arm.
James Warren - February 9, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
I tried to remember the very first time I used my power, I tried, and I tried, but I couldn't. "How could I forget? Everyone always remembers the first time they used their powers." I kept thinking back to the day my parents unbound my magic, but even that was a blurry memory. "Huh?"
"Sorry Professor, I don't remember using mine for the first time. Seriously, I... just don't remember," I look down as if I'm ashamed, "why don't I remember?" My thoughts go wild, thinking up a good enough explaination for myself. Then I realized that I have no memory of what I was like before my powers were unbound, "Oh my God. What's happened to me? And now I know that there's more to my past than I truly think I knew.
Parker J. Halliwell - February 10, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
Don't freak out, dude. He said looking to James. It's not that big of a deal. You said your powers were bound when you were younger, right? Well, a lot of time, when powers are unbound, memories are affected.
James Warren - February 10, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
I glance at Parker and generally smile, "Thanks. That's the most comforting thing you've said to me,"
I knew that even though Parker may appear to be somewhat rude, he had a nice side of him too. :)
Parker J. Halliwell - February 10, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
I'm really not a bad guy. He said turning his attention back to Madeline. What's next?
Parker J. Halliwell - February 15, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
Professor Cousin? He asked. What's next? His cousin new he was somewhat impatient, so he hoped his consistent bugging would help.
Madeline P. Mitchell - February 22, 2007 01:49 PM (GMT)
Alright, moving on, Madeline said. What you've probably come to realize is that all powers work with your emotions. In our case, it's fear. Whenever we see something happening that scares us, we react as do our powers. Example...
She mumbled a few words and an energy ball appeared out of no where, flying towards her. She froze it when it was just inches away.
See? You have to channel that fear and use it to make your power work. Now it's your turn. Madeline backed up a bit, still facing the students. I will send a low power energy ball at you and you will freeze it. Ready?
Parker J. Halliwell - February 22, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
Sure? He said uneasy. He remembered when he was growing up the constant demon attacks and the energy balls that would wizz past him. I guess I'm ready
James Warren - February 26, 2007 06:23 AM (GMT)
I nod, in thought. "Sure," I think, "this will be interesting." So I stand and prepare myself for an attack.
Madeline P. Mitchell - March 1, 2007 03:57 PM (GMT)
Madeline extended her arms and mumbled a few words. Energy balls appeared in both her hands. Taking a deep breath, she made sure the boys were ready before she threw them.
James Warren - March 2, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
My eyes widen at the sight of the Energy Balls. I flinch just a little bit as the light from one of them reflects in my eye, blinding me for a moment. I manage to open my eyes again however the room is now completely empty. Everything is very dark, light from outside is beaming in through the windows, mysterious shadows are cast over the walls. "Not again," I think, "what the hell? I must've projected myself into the past again." I take a few steps in, looking at the darkened surroundings. "Hello?" I call. But silence. I shiver from both the coldness and the scary room. "How am I going to get back?" I mutter. I continue to walk towards the doors, and then I soon realize that they're locked. I have no way of getting out of the room, nor a way to get out of this... time! I turn around, leaning against the wall, and I sigh loudly. And then I hear footsteps coming from outside. I quickly run behind a table and peer from the side, watching the door open slightly and the lights switch on. I see a boy, quietly walking into the room, followed by another boy. I gasp as I realize that the first boy is me! An older looking me. And then the second boy is Wesley. "I think I've just taken myself into the future this time," my thoughts go wild, "and that must be a future me. It looks as if I'm about half a year older. But what the hell am I doing with Wesley?!" I continue to watch on as the future James and the future Wesley walk to a cabinet, sniggering to one another. I blink and now I'm back in the present.
"Huh?" It takes me a couple of moments to re-gather my thoughts. Professor Maddie is staring at me, confused, still holding the Energy Balls. Most of the other students are also looking at me oddly. I panic for a bit, "Professor, it happened again!"
Parker J. Halliwell - March 2, 2007 02:12 PM (GMT)
Parker froze. The energy ball was going faster then he expected. As he lifted up his hands to freeze the energy balls, nothing happened. Crap! he yelled as the energy ball hit him. That stings. A few more energy balls flew towards him and he attempted again. As more and more energy balls flew at him, he became angered that he couldn't get it. Quickly, another energy ball flew at him. He lifted his hands again in an attempt to freeze it, and then, boom! Instead of freezeing, the energy ball exploded. The energy released by the exploding energy ball sent him flying backwards. I'm okay. He said, rising from the ground again.
Jordan Thompson - March 2, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
I walk into the room and sit down wating for the Professor to tell me what we're doing. Seeing as how I can't freeze or blow things up i wonder if this calss will be any good for me.
P. Serenity - March 16, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
i walk in and sit beside jordan.... i see an energy ball going toward parker and i decide i want to get in on some of the action i raise my hand and make the energy ball implude right as parker went to blow up the energy ball but it wasnt there... he hit james instead knocking him off his feet andback into the wall...
Jordan Thompson - March 16, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
I look at Kate, "Careful."
P. Serenity - March 16, 2007 04:40 AM (GMT)
sorry... didnt mean for him to get blasted... good thing parker hasnt devloped that power yet
Parker J. Halliwell - March 18, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
You didn't get me blasted. I exploded the energy ball and the resulting shockwave sent me backwards. He turned to face her. Who are you, exactly?
P. Serenity - March 18, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
umm i said shocked by the confrontation ... i look at jordan then back at parker... im kate... i said sorta confused... i didnt mean to... i stoped myself in mid sentence...
Parker J. Halliwell - March 18, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
You didn't do anything. Don't take credit for something you didn't do. Parker said getting off the floor. Your Kate?
P. Serenity - March 18, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
((out of character.. my post said i blasted the energyball then you hit james with your blast which knocked him on the floor... just to clear up my post awhile back))
i dont believe i took credit for anything...
Parker J. Halliwell - March 19, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
Whatever, Parker said preparing for the next attack. This is a molecular abilities class, not a wind class, go blow your wind some place else. He turned his attention back to Madison who launched another energy ball. Feeling a bit more angry, he exploded the energy ball. This time, he expected the resulting shockwave and wasn't thrown backwards.
Madeline P. Mitchell - March 19, 2007 06:03 PM (GMT)
Alright, no talking please. Now, that was not so bad for your first try, Madeline said as the students composed themselves.
But it wasn't good. It's important to remember to trust your insticts when it comes to magic, especially this power. You can try and force it to work immediately. When you first start to use it you have to rely on your insticts until you are able to control it on your own. She said pacing.
Now, I want you all to try again, but try not to think about what's going to happen, just let you insticts take over.
You ready? One, two...three!
P. Serenity - March 20, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
uh im sorry have you not heard i have 2 active powers thank you very much... and molecular combustion happens to be one of them... me and this kid are going to have rounds i can already tell i thought to myself
Madeline P. Mitchell - March 20, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
Kate watch out! the Professor yelled. She froze the energy ball inches away from the girl. Please pay attention! If you don't you could be seriously injured and I do not want that to happen!
Parker J. Halliwell - March 20, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
She has problems. Parker said, referring to Kate, as he dodged an energy ball. Professor Madeline threw another energy ball at him, and this time he froze it. He was desperate to try something so when she threw another energy ball at him, he exploded a portion of the already frozen energy ball, causing it to collide with the energy ball flying towards him. They combined, releasing a shockwave that sailed throughout the entire room, sending all of them reeling backwards. Sorry, he said climbing to his feet. But I was going with my instints.
P. Serenity - March 20, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
yea ok as the next energy ball wqas omited from madisons hands i quickly went to rid it from the room but "missed" and used telekenisis on parker sending him into a desk half way across the room "oops" i say with a grin on my face
Clare Celestine - March 20, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
As i walk past the room i see Kate.... and Parker flying across the room? I walk in and approach Kate, "What happened?" I ask.
Parker J. Halliwell - March 20, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
What the hell is your problem? Parker asked getting up off the floor. This is a molecular abilities class so you shouldn't use your telekinesis in here. This class is for people that can do this. Parker said exploding the air in front of her, causing her to fly backwards. Maybe you're in the wrong class. In fact, maybe you're in the wrong school.
Clare Celestine - March 20, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)
I look at Parker as Kate gets up from the ground, "What's your problem. It was obviously an accident!"
Parker J. Halliwell - March 20, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)
If that was an accident, then so was this. He said turning to her. She has a problem with me, she has from the beginning. Maybe it'll teach her to back off. I'm not gonna let her get away with telekinetically blasting me. Some of us are here to learn. He turned to Kate. And if you have a molecular ability, use it. That's what this class is for, not telekinesiss.
Clare Celestine - March 20, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
"Parker, you know what you did was not an accident," I said, "Kate has some trouble controlling her powers, like we all do. So to attack her like that with no real rationilization except that she accidentally sent you flying is unreasonable. She may have trouble with her powers but you have PROBLEMS with your attitude!"
Parker J. Halliwell - March 20, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
SHE DID NOT ACCIDENTALLY SEND ME FLYING!! SHE DID IT PURPOSLY AND SHE KNOWS IT!!! And I may have problems with my attitude, but you have problems minding your own business!! As his anger built, Parker began talking with his hands. The angrier he got, the more things started to explode. First the lights overhead, then the windows, some furniture, the doors. Why are you in this class anyway? I thought you had geokinesis?
Clare Celestine - March 20, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
"I came when i relaized my friend needed help," I look at the objects blowng up, "Don't even try to intimidate me Parker. Right now you just seem like a bully."
Parker J. Halliwell - March 20, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
I'm not trying to intimidate you. Like you said, we all have problems controlling our powers. Maybe you should leave because your friend put herself in trouble so she has to get herself out. She attacked me first, so I defended myself, back off.
Clare Celestine - March 20, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)
"Make me," I said, "I stick up for my friends who are being picked on by big bullies like you! I'm not leaving until you apologize to her. It was an accident. She meant to hit the energy ball."
