QUOTE (Current Story)
Tales of the Tempest takes place on the continent known as Aluela. In ancient times, a successful race known as the Likants ruled supreme over the land. They seemed to be a cross between man and beast. They had the ability to transform. These beasts had incredible power, great spirituality and skilled in the art of life magic. They were a gentle, rational and civilized race. However, long ago, a conflict tore the Likants race in two. This internal conflict, was known as The Beast War. After suffering many losses, the Likants were no longer the leading race over Aluela. The new dominating race were the humans. These humans drove away the confusion and terror in Aleula and brought back civility and control over the continent. After the humans took control, they viewed the Likants as monsters. They accused them and their war for making Aluela a worse place to live. However, the real reason was that the humans were afraid of the Likants. Humans and nations among nations supported killings of the Likants. They began a genocide. The genocide was alternatively known as the Likant Hunt.

One day, a wounded knight came to Caius' village. This marks the beginning of Tales of the Tempest.

Game Details

Battle System
Tales of the Tempest has a battle system similar to Tales of Rebirth but it is now called the 3 on 3 Linear Motion Battle System. The battlefield is 3D, and there are 3 lines in which your character can move back and forth on. And the maximum number of characters in battle will be 3.
QUOTE (Example)
---[Rubia]----------------[Enemy 1]-------------
-------[Enemy 2]------------[Tilikis]-------------
-----------------------------[Caius][Enemy 3]---

There is also a formation option. This allows you to decide where the characters start off on the battlefield when the actual fighting begins. Use this as an advantage strategically. Such as putting melee fighters in the front and magic users in the back. Or incase of enemies from both sides, put them in all in the middle. There are endless combinations you can do!

Strategy
A trademark option of Tales games. There are 3 characters on the battlefield and you are using only 1. The other two will move and attack on their own. These patterns and strategy will depend on the strategy commands you set for them. You can change how often they attack or defend, how often they cast spells and who they attack. You can do this all by just setting it and you do not have to worry about what strategies they use in battle!

Cook
Another trademark of the Tales games. You put together ingredients to make a recipe to cook food to gain benificial effects. Tales of the Tempest however makes this system a bit different. First you select the ingredients and start cooking. Once you start, you will play a short mini-game, trying to put the food together properly. If you are successful, the food is created and you have your benifits. However, if you fail the cooking process, there goes a couple of good ingredients.

Transformation
Tales of the Tempest has a unique battle system. Transformation. This only works for Caius and Forest because they have Likant lineage within them. When transformed into battle, they change their appearances into that of a beast-man and their physical attack power goes above the charts! However, while in beast form, they cannot use Skills or Spells so use this strategically.

To transform, simply select Beast transformation on the Menu or set the transformation in your command list. Press the button in battle to use it. This will require some TP.
