Tales of Fandom - Volume 2
The second series of mainstream puzzle games based on Tales developed by Namo, obviously. It features characters from Phantasia, Symphonia and Abyss in a voiced adventure of in-depth story concetrated on Symphonia's Kratos and other characters.

Hmm...looks like the bulk of the games. It seems to be a compilation of storyline from each of the series: Phantasia - Symphonia - Abyss. Looks like it's all Fujishima after all. Nice Chester x Arche scene. XD

Miscellaneous - Trading Cards
Apparently, Namco has decided on making Trading Cards in celebration of this game. It includes cards from Phantasia, Symphonia and Abyss.

I would love someone to elaborate on what I fail to understand from these new pages.

i love the art that they did for the tales characters looks really nice lol i love zelos's one it's really something

some of them look really odd...

Maybe they weren't done by the normal group. Don't they get Production I.G. for everything dealing with portraits and scenes?

And why does that affection system make this sound like one of those visual novels that are so popular in Japan?

A few new characters were added, and it seems that the TotA stories will be split into two! One exploring Tear's History (?), One exploring Jade's (?).

Of course, I can't read Japanese, so I'm guessing this from the Pictures =D

It took me awhile to notice, but all the characters on the DVD's disc AND cover art are the top 15 Characters in the latest poll.

(Jade and Zelos appear twice! Ahah. Hah....)

Lloyd (Hero) and Mint (Heroine) take front while their counterparts are behind them. And then in the same position, Luke and Tear take the 3rd spot. What an innovative way to place characters. However, I prefer if they stopped using re-used art for the game covers....

And Young Van looks...NOTHING LIKE VAN!! He doesn't have the quality smile. =(

Notice that Tales of Fandom Volume 1 did the same thing. Except for the positioning.

Time for an update on this game, since it's leaked now...

Story
The game starts off with the three parts:
1. Phantasia world: They're about to enter Dhaos' castle.
2. Symphonia World: About to summon Origin.
3. Abyss World: About to enter Eldrant

Suddenly, they're sucked into a light! Blargins! They all appear in different parts of the world. With the Abyss crew split up into 2 groups...

Tree of Yggdrasil : I have no clue, but it follows the Phantasia crew.
Tower of Salvation : Symphonia crew.
Eldrant : Luke, Tear, Natalia, Mieu, and Asch
Grand Chokmah : Guy, Jade, and Anise.

Each place has some flashback thingy you watch... and they'll unlock titles, minigames, etc...

Minigames

Some areas have a minigame. Or something. Here's a bunch:

Summon Spirit Areas (Mt. Celsius, etc.)
The Summon Spirit is out of control, and you have to fight a bunch of figures that look like people, including Dist.

S. Spirits:
- Efreet (Play as Luke)
- Undine (Play as Guy)
- Sylph (Play as Cless)
- Celsius (Play as Zelos. Oddly enough, he doesn't stare at Celsius. At all. Hrmm..)
- Gnome (Play as Lloyd)
- Volt (Play as Chester)

This is the "timing" Minigame mentioned by Sunny. Basically, there's a darkened Triangle, and a moving triangle. The point of this one is to make the moving triangle bigger than all 3 points of the dark one. If you miss one, you'll have to start over again. Sometimes, your pal will show up, that's the only time you HAVE to miss, or else you hit your pal. Other times, a stronger person shows up and you can still attack your intended target.

Casino

You have money. Gambling is good for you~

Anyways, there's a bunch of minigames here. Let me explain:

Black Jack (Jade): Try to get 21 without going over it.
Slots (Luke): Self-explanitory.
Poker (Regal): I can't explain it.... look it up on Wiki. >_>
???? (Arche and Chester): I have no clue about this one.

Iunno how, but you can unlock more characters to play against here.

[i]Tales of Sniping[/b]

You can play as 3 characters... Cless, Lloyd, or Luke. Luke has the ability to stop time, Cless can heal Mieu, and Lloyd can revive Mieu. Basically, you're supposed to protect Mieu from incoming monsters. You're a target. You shoot things.

Mieu also holds up power-ups from time to time. They hold the Summon Spirits...

Efreet : Powerful blasts for a few shots.
Celsius : Machine Gun ability. 50/100 bullets.. I can't remember.
Sylph : Refills 1 special.
Volt : Massive damage to all enemies.
Undine : Heals Mieu
Gnome : 3 insta-kill statues that drop onto people. (Reference to the Mieu Statue in ToDR?)

There are 3 modes: 30 round, 50 round, and 70 round. Beat them and earn lots of Gald!

Unknown Game Name

No clue about this one. I think it's like Mahjong. Tons of people to play as, with pretty art that looks like the Blast Caliburs.

Tales of Partner

Most addictive one for me so far. You can choose between 4 difficulties. Collet, Mint, Tear, and Celsius. Each one harder than the last.

Basically, you're supposed to match the colours, with different genders on a 3x3 board. Here's who...

Cless + Mint (Green) x4
Chester + Arche (Blue) x4
Lloyd + Collet (Red) x4
Zelos + Sheena (Light Blue) x4
Luke + Tear (Yellow) x4
Asch + Natalia (Grey) x0(Collet)/x4(Mint up)
Dist (Dark Grey) x0(Collet/Mint)/x4(Tear)/x8(Celsius)

Dist is there for being an obstacle or bonus points. If you're played PuyoPop, it's like the grey coloured blob. Have a combo near it to remove it.

BTW, Have anyone seen the Tales of Countdown DVD?

I can't play this anymore it bores the hell out of me.

Yeah, I played a bit of it as well... WAY too much talking. >_> My friend let me play his and I got bored of it....pretty quickly.

some of the new artwork is decent enough but i don't see how anyone could play this without being really bored.
