Gah, like every other forum, Majinken is slowly dying. We need a death-proof plan that will make Majinken active almost every day. XD Hmm...so any ideas? I've already tried advertising as numerous forums, but my own activity is going down thanks to SAT Prep Classes.

I just need suggestions/advice/etc. And affiliating with another TALES forum is out of my favor. ~_~;

Do what k1te did! I could start recording ToD2/ToS PS2 boss videos, start them off with a Majinken banner and link them to Majinken.

Hmm...I can't find the options for forum banners! What the heck?! And I can't make it so that every new member gets a PM telling them to go to THIS forum. Oh, the irony.

Does anyone know how to change banners in phpBB forums? I need the actual option of course and I know where the administration panel is...it's just that I can't find how to change it.

I have some ideas IM me sometime this week xD.

All right. I applied for a domain in some site that Atlas suggested to me. I did that last night though...12 hours ago or so. Which means...in another 12 or so hours, we're going to get a response - most likely a good one. So until then, we should plan ahead. So far, here's what I'll propose:

1) Some new staff member positions and cutting some off (Like Kaz and k1te, who are never coming back, it seems) And the most likely candiate for the next moderator is either Bunnywisk or NuklearArel. However, that will be decided later.

2) A picture gallery. I don't want a simple one, I want a fancy one. Whether it will be just a list of pictures or a gallery like (Ugh) Shinryu's site, either will do fine for us. There will be 2 sections however, one for official art, the other for fanart. And the fan artist name can be identified, then it MUST be mentioned!

3) Some help. Yes, help. I never made a custom skin or domain or whatever you guys call it, so I'll need help on that. And I want a good one, nothing half-assed or it's a no. But don't be afraid to help, because I need it.

4) Maybe some new banners. Me and Atlas were thinking about putting together multiple colored manga scans and making a banner out of it. So that way, it is original, official and unique. However, this will require ALL of Bunnywisk's time. And that's something she can't do, so help in coloring manga scans is appreciated! A lot! ~_~

5) As for me, I'm making new member icons, and scrapping the current ones. (If they need to be scrapped)


So if you guys have any better ideas or can provide help, then post away!

Characters must correspond with rank. For ex: Van's rank matches Admin, the Rokujinshou match Moderator, while Tales charactes fit Veteran and below.

How exactly do you want the picture gallery to be done? I don't really know what the definition of "fancy" would be.

But I'm sure I could find a useful Picture Gallery code somewhere...

It's name is Gallery. It seems to be a PHP code, but from sample pictures, it looks really good.

Perhaps I digressed a little from what I meant. What I want is a gallery similar to the Photobucket pages when you view your pictures. There's a row of pictures, you click on them, and they are shown in full size in a new window. And I mean full size, as if in direct IMG linking. That's the gallery I want. =D

Well, I looked into it. It's Photobucket-like alright.
But... I don't know a thing about PHP.
However, it's a bit easy to create what you want through HTML. You could just create a bunch of thumbnails of your images, and place them into tables. Have it so when you click the thumbnail, it directs you to the full-size image.

Once you get some images up, perhaps I can help you with it.

Skins templates are easy to find. Finding a good one is the problem. I think we have some good skinners on this board (just hoping that they'll volunteer though).

I wish I knew how to color in mangas. I have Photoshop and all. I'd love to color them in if I learned it, and give you guys a hand with that.

Not a bad idea. However, I have a better idea - Merging. That's right...or even better, a merge between 3 dying forums - Majinken, Abyssal Chronicles and Raijinken. This is much better than affiliating as we would boost members for every forum. However, the main issue is where the members are moving...this we should all discuss. Well? Like the idea or not? Because I like to over achieve things.

Well, definately not my forums. They're the least populated and worse kind. I'm thinking here, since it's the only site that is just a forum, while AC and I both have sites attached. This way, everything will be less complicated.

Definitely. Besides, we don't even have a domain, let alone can't getting one. You can make your domain thingy the front flashy page for the forums, and then Majinken can be just the forum. Now to see what Abyssal Chronicles thinks. XD Dang, it's a busy day today.

On another note, I did not recieve a message or response for a domain and it has been past 2 days, soooo...tough luck for us. =( Well, the possible merge of the two forums will have us a domain though.
